“Such a nice camp... Really beautiful with lots of shade and large beach, playground, boats and seating at Dewart Lake. Lots of camping sites as well as cabins and house lodging. The ppl who run the camp are super nice and have allowed us, if we call ahead, to play disc golf there. They continue to expand what they offer and I'm sure the kids who get to go to camp here have a fabulous time... We also enjoy sitting on shore for Boat-in Worship on Sunday mornings throughout the summer. Our family has had a couple of events here including our daughter's wedding and we loved every minute we spent there. Highly recommended for family/friends events and getaways! 💗”

“We really like this park. The log house and garden are beautiful, the whole area is surrounded by huckleberries and other native plants. We will come back in the winter time to do some sledding down the big hill.”

“It was a beautiful day and the leaves are changing!! It’s rather dry so the mosquitoes are not too pesky. And we saw a beautiful little green snake!! The leaf on our dog’s head just gently wafted down and landed just where you see it!”

“Great place if you are into skiing and snowboarding. We were there only for a day. My son had a blast skiing all day. I took a beginner ski lesson. The instructor was super kind and patient with me and the entire group. The overall customer service was great, too. A good variety of places to eat at the ski lounge and the village. Shopping options at the village. Very cool and clean.”

“North Park (Steve Michaud park) is a great park for walking (long path through woods and swampland on south side of crystal lake golf course.) Has a large playground for younger children and many soccer fields of various sizes and 1 baseball field. Frequently full parking lots for soccer on the weekends. Well maintained turf by the city of Lakeville. No night lit fields at this park”

“Sweetwater is in my book a must see. Whether you live nearby or are traveling past, take some time to stop. It is absolutely breath taking beautiful. You can visit the lake or walk the creek. It is taken care of, kept clean and free of trash. You can follow many trails, walking the lake or the creek. The bate store in on the lake and the store attendants are super friendly and informative. You can purchase any supplies which you may need, from fishing line, lures, gear, live baits and much more. Maps are supplied if needed. Though the shop is smaller in size you will not be dissatisfied with the selection. You will find just about anything you would need. No matter your style of fishing! All in all the is 💯 hands down one of my favorite visits in Georgia.”

“A real nice place to adventure on a nice day of just relax. Has a few ponds , a few playgrounds , paved paths, a disc golf course. It picnic shelters. It was a fun time and I was super excited to discover this park . My kids are growing almost too old for playgrounds so this was a great try at something more their level of entertainment. I would recommend anyone to visit. Even to soak in the warm weather and people watch as this place also seems to get several visitors as well. But we enjoyed the disc golf part of the park. It was a nice day when we visited and no one else but is were on the course which was nice for us because we have never played so it was nice to not feel in the way or rushed as we went along.”

“Some parts of the preserve are pretty unique and scenic. The rest are left wild and are hard to traverse, but some people might enjoy that. The whole area isn't too large.”

“Great little park and fun place to watch the ferries come and go. Parking is limited but free for 4 hours and it's a great place to come out and watch the ferry and people. Definitely scent of sea, seems more so in low tide.”

“Really cool dispersed campground with lots of room between sites. Unfortunate that some campers can't do without their electronic fix. One trailer close to us ran their generator for almost 18 hours. Vault toilets were clean and maintained.”

When you meet good people, you know and they're it. If we're back in the neighborhood, we know the way. Will miss you guys, all the best!”

“Excellent time to visit the park since it's still cool there are not a ton of people out but the park is awesome. Been coming to this park for years and it's just as great as the first time I went. Highly recommend as a great place to walk trails, play sports or do other outdoor activities.”

“The best dog park that we have ever been to! We are from out from town, but were happy that we could still bring our dogs here. You have to buy a permit online which costs $5 per dog per day, but that was pretty easy to do. You don’t have to print this off, which can be a huge hassle when travelling. The park itself is gorgeous, and also huge! Plenty of walking trails through the woods to explore with a ton of off leash areas. There is also an area by the water where dogs are able to splash around. Lots of friendly dog owners around who were able to point us in the right directions. Do not skip this place if you have dogs! It is well worth the drive and the small fee.”

“It is small and very understated - as many things here in the midwest are - as well serene and very poignant. Moving. As it should be. This is not meant to be grand, but more, a reminder to honor those who have not only fought bravely, but given the ultimate sacrifice. It is elegantly simple, and stacked on levels as if into a hillside, keeping nice site lines with the surrounding area. In a "City of Fountains" those here are quite modern, and listening to them is very relaxing. Low maintenance landscaping helps add an again, simple beauty. Parks and rec, or perhaps volunteers keep it well maintained. It should never go in disrepair. If you know a veteran let them know your appreciation.”
