“I took my dog out for a first visit there. I was a little hesitant because some negative rumors. However I think it is a hidden gem. It's a quaint but nice park. There is places for the kids to play, trails to walk, tennis court and tables to have a quiet picnic. The only thing I would say to visitors, "clean up after yourself". The park wasn't crowded when I went. Overall, I would this visit a 9.”

“The Metro Parks of Toledo take care of their parks really well. During this particular visit my partner and I were visiting the Manor House, which is detailed on another review. We did go to a model train exhibit, although I'm really not a fan of Lionel. It was fine, however because of my model train preferences I could have spent the 15 minutes of walking to the building and walking around the displays in other ways. Where I did walk about, there was no litter on the ground and everything was clean, as I would expect with a Toledo Metro Park. I will come back.”

“This is a great hike, but my post is to alert others about **CAR VANDALISM**. While I was gone hiking my car window was smashed as was the window of another vehicle. It was around 2pm, broad daylight. I have seen broken glass in the parking lot on previous visits, so I know this is not an isolated incident.”

“Very nice neighborhood park with hiking areas around it, however, the soccer field grass quality is not good as it was before and that is the only reason for being four star to me. Other than that very calming park with nice views.”

“Wonderful place! As Mayor, I am soo proud to have been a part of the founding of this memorial. It's truly been an honor. The veterans memorial of Pleasant View is open to any veterans to be memorialized here-not just those with ties to Pleasant View. We do a memorial service close to Veterans day and all are welcome”

“A hidden gem! Beautiful park, loved the trails.. loved being rewarded with an awesome lake view. The terrain switches - loose sand, compact sand, red sand, etc. Went in December - not much for flowers or greenery, but was around 73 degrees..but no one else was at the park on Tuesday, 12-14-21. Can't wait to try new trails, and bring friends. We went on the bluebird trail..then continued onto the lake (we just followed signs that said - Lake that way..etc.) didn't know exactly where to go :)”

“Great park, my daughter enjoys the monkey bars, we always run around the outside to all the equipment. Would be fun to do a group workout here with music playing and rotate stations. My littlest one (2yrs) doesn’t really have much to do at this park so we normally come to this park when it’s just me and my older daughter (8yrs)”

“We love this park as it is beautiful and peaceful. It has a great pond for fishing, playground, basketball court, pool and lots of places to walk the trails. Great place to bring the dog or the kids. For any fellow geocachers.... I believe there are around four here.”

“Nice quiet, flat walk along a two track. Just follow the white diamonds painted on the trees. Only a couple cars in the lot. Lots of deer tracks, but no sightings. Several small ponds along the road about half way around. Took us 1.5 hours taking our time, looking through binoculars. Lots of sun at noon time. February 2020.”

“I’ve lived near here for almost 4 years and it is my favorite part of living in this area. The walking path takes you around different parts of the park and makes it feel like you’re aware from the city for a while. Love seeing the little critters around being able to breathe in nature for a bit. I almost hate to recommend it to people since it’s a hidden gem.”

“Great spot for outdoor recreation. I’ve heard it has a river running across it in the winter/spring but when I went it was dry. I see reviews from people who say they have solid 4x4s (not awd, but true 4wd), that are saying the road is nearly impassible. Maybe it is a seasonal thing. But some of my friends are Sacramento born-and-raised 4wheelers, and this trail is a local favorite and not particularly challenging. In the right season you could probably even get through it with AWD or even 2wd if you have decent ground clearance. Hell, Joshua tree had more serious obstacles and I did that in my bone stock 2011 wrangler unlimited without issue and even linked up with a guy doing it in a modded wrx. I went in June, as a novice and had no issues in my wrangler with a 3” lift (see pictures) At no point did I even think “thank god for my lift”. It was just good to get some dirt on the tires and see some nature! If you want more of a challenge there are more rugged sections of trail that loop off of the main road. So you could even use this to build skill or test your rig out. At the end of the day it is off-roading; it is 4 wheeling; it is fun; but it ain’t no rubicon.”
