“It may have changed because I went there three years ago but I really liked this school! But some of the teachers there....were rather strict or mean but my 5th grade was amazing! There lunch food was decent and having my aunt as the lunch manager was great too when I was there. And she's really really nice so if you're going to Garrett park and worried about it don't be! It's a great school with great people. Might be some strict ones so be prepared for that.”

“What a high-quality woodworking studio. I arrived with almost no experience, took several private lessons to get certified on the machines, and emerged a few weeks later with a certification, confidence in myself, and a new skill that gives me so much joy. I’ve now built a beautiful cutting board on my own, and am now planning my next projects. The machines are well maintained. The staff are friendly and place a high emphasis on safety. They provide all types of group classes which seem to be very popular. You can buy all types of lumber here, and they provide ear and eye protection. This is a great shop to learn woodworking, hone your skills, build a dream project of your own, and have fun. Highly recommend.”

“The teachers at Tuttle Creek are like family. My son has been there for over two and a half years and has learned so much from the teachers and social environment here. They are kind and understanding and have been more than patient and accommodating for a child coming from a split household, which is never an easy task to begin with. I live in Jackson now and am more than willing to drive the 20-25 minutes to make sure my son continues to have his "family" at Tuttle Creek! They truly care about every kiddo there and want to see each one flourish. Highly recommend this place! Miss Crystal is the best!”

“We enrolled our daughter last year due to the pandemic, and I can tell you as a Mom who takes great pains to seek out excellent education, we have been thrilled with our experience at NorthStar. Our daughter entered last year for 8th grade and wanted to continue for high school. She has thrived and grown in her faith and in her character due to the time and attention of her North Star teachers and caring staff. It truly has been a time of enrichment for her in stabilizing her foundation so she has the best tools available to grow into the person God intends. It has also strengthened her critical thinking skills and organizational abilities. She thrives working independently. The NorthStar staff know how to do online school; how to work with parents to support their children; and fully understand the extra care and attention it takes to create a thriving online, compassionate community of youth, parents and teachers. “My son and our first year with this school. Kindergarten class has its own wing. The gym is cut in half and used as the cafeteria. He loves his class and we like the idea of parents having the choices to be abke to volunteer as a class aid. I think we are going to enjoy our stay with Sundance Elementary. It is a combined elementary/middle school though (K-8th grade).”

Thankfully, we found Brainy Kids at a time we needed it most. Mrs. Marina Tsokur and her team customized a learning program for our son which was fun, engaging, but also where he could make some serious progress in reading. In a little over a year of work our son went from 20th percentile in his reading scores to 80th percentile. “Both of my children attended Wee Workshop between ages 2-5, and as I picked my daughter up from her last day today I was in tears. This place was a home away from home for my kids. They loved their teachers and looked so forward to going every day they attended. As a busy working mom, I knew I could drop them off in the morning and not have a care in the world.
