“The secret gem of sgv! plus I live to play disc golf and they have an excellent disc golf park. I only wish they would put lights on the disc golf course area to make it safer to walk around and play at night. Keep an eye on your stuff and you will have a great time!”

“I love taking my kids to play at Lanark Park it's a very comfortable place to be at which I grew up in and have a lot of friends around there the only issues that I have for Lanark Park is that all the people in the apartment buildings park in the parking lot where they do not let the visitors find parking you always have to park either a block away or far away from the park I hope one day the people that work for the park can do something about it but other than that it's a number one park in Canoga Park”

“Literally one of the most gorgeous and enjoyable hikes I've been on here in .CA. obviously all Cali hikes are beautiful, but the views up there are just unbelievable at Mount Waterman. I was immediately regretting not bringing my phone to take pictures, but at the same time it felt so good to be immersed in nature like that. At the top of the summit, there are really cool Boulders as well. It's really fun to check things out of there and just appreciate the beauty of our home. Highly recommend!”

“Very spacious and clean. You need to bring a ton of water because there is no shade. Bring some toys because there won't be any other dogs there most of time.”

“Nice park with all the quirks. Urban foragers pick dandelion leaves. The guys that maintain the landscaping says that they don't use herbicides, but they do use insecticides for ants, and poison around tree trunks to control gophers. Also, the water is reclaimed non-potable water, make sure you cook your vegetables before you consume them. For toddlers and infants, make sure you stay within arms reach of them. Dog owners often leash their dogs, the "drop" the leash so that they can run around on their own. Others train their dogs to fetch since there is no oversight. “As of Sept 2017 the roads are being repaved so it should look even better in the near future. Although most memorial parks don't do upright tombstones, this one has sections with them. The chapel in the office at the top of the hill is a very nice space with anterooms for refreshments if you're doing a big viewing service like we were. Historic pictures on the walls are interesting. Staff are nice. Proximity to the 14 freeway makes it easy to find.”

I loved the outdoor decor and natural stream running along the compounds. Our guide and the director were welcoming, informative and honest about the care and history of the animals.
