Great hike! It's short but it is a workout so be in shape and able to climb some steep areas.

Hiking is great exercise. This trail is unique in that it's relatively short and quick. An average person in good health can be up and down in an hour. But you'll want to spend time at the top enjoying the views! While most mountains and trails have switchbacks and some level areas, Kwaay Paay feels pretty much like you're just hiking straight up all the time. (Though there are a couple of flat spots to catch your breath.) There are areas with steps and other areas that are quite narrow. Be patient with yourself, take breaks, say hello to other hikers, watch for snakes, don't leave trash, and enjoy this short hike gem in Mission Trails Park!

Great trail and great view on the way and at the summit. It is good cardio since it's almost always uphill. Not hard trail, but if you out of shape it can be.

If you havent already, get to this peak. It's a challenge, but the views are your reward. Bring water and of it's too hot, please don't subject your dog to such conditions. Dogs have died here due to heat stroke. I implore you avoid it. However, there are plenty of pet-friendly trails that will keep you and your furry companion happy and safe.

(619) 668-3281. Great hiking/cycling spot for all different levels. And not to mention, breathtaking views on top. It didn't have the multiple hills to climb to get to the peak, but it was more a gradual incline up, with a few steep parts. The Kwaay Paay Peak was a whole lot easier to tackle than South Fortuna.
