Not as many facilities as some other resort spas in San Diego but the atmosphere, incredible services, and kind, highly skilled staff far surpassed my experiences elsewhere. I had the hot stone massage which was so soothing and made extra special with details like selecting my oil scent and stepping into a warmed robe at the end of the service. We also went to the restaurant, VAGA--highly recommend for brunch/dinner/drinks before or after your spa day.”

“I went Mendoza’s today, out of curiosity because the opening soon sign, now said Open. Before you step in you see big nice photos of some of the items on the menu. And a few tables and chairs for outside dinning. Once I entered I saw how neat and clean it was. And was greeted right away with a smile and “How are you, and may I help you, and then she let me know “ take your time”. Once I made my selection, she talked with me a little more about the strength of the different sauces. As I continued to look around and at all different food items on the menu. I didn’t even need to sit down because my food was ready. But not only did she greet me a “Goodbye but even the cook in the back did too. Mendoza’ is is truly a 5 Star business, but the food is too. This woman will be back, and if you haven’t been it should be on your need to go list.”

“My partner and I had the most relaxing and fun stay! The rooms are great and the bed is so comfortable and the tiny kitchen was too cute for words. I loved that we could check ourselves in and enjoyed the private little patio and loved that there were bikes and surfboards to rent. The staff also hooked us up with free coffee and donuts in the mornings. The neighborhood is amazing. SO much to see/do within walking distance, live music, the beach, great food and coffee and new eats like a vegan Jewish deli! Felt very California state of mind and just a perfect weekend getaway kinda place. Loved it and hope to return!”
