“I was supposed to stay elsewhere one night but my reservation got lost. I booked a night here via a third party site because it had the best rates (that wasn't a sketchy-looking motel). When I arrived, lo and behold, my reservation was technically on the wrong date. (At this point, it was nearly 3am, and I could not check in until 3pm). Cue the EXCELLENT customer service. I was helped by an employee at the front desk named Dana. He was not only incredibly friendly, but extremely understanding and accommodating. He SAVED my evening, my sanity, and my "relaxing" vacation! He saw that there was a room available, got me checked in, and I was able to finally rest after a LONG day of driving from San Francisco to Truckee late at night. He not only helped me snag a room, but he helped me reverse a complicated issue with the third party site (note to self -- call a property DIRECTLY for availability, deals, and more because 3rd party sites take so much from small businesses!). The room was spacious, clean, and the bed was very comfortable. I had considered cancelling my booking at the other resort so I could stay here longer...but I will be sure to keep this amazing hotel in mind for a near-future visit. Breakfast and coffee are included, as well as gorgeous outdoor scenery. It is also very conveniently located. Very special thank you to Dana. Your kindness, your professionalism, and SUPERB customer service is what I hope all future travelers get to experience!”

“This clinic is great! The ladies that helped me out were super friendly. They let me borrow a small cage/carrier for my 3 puppies (haven’t bought them leashes yet) and even helped me carry them to my car. Being that this is my first time with puppies, they answered all my questions. They were knowledgeable and gave me enough information to put me at ease. Thank you staff! “Its a beautiful lodge in a gated community. I don't know what the standards are for being able to use the lodge and lift but I imagine you have to live there. “We go camping here to Kern River EVERY YEAR THUS FAR! God willing , for years to come . It's tradition , river has its ups and downs , but a good place to start tradition ! Depending on when you go, it might be packed . Make sure you bring EXTRA SUNBLOCK, just when you think you have enough brig another bottle or 3. Oh and check the water level prior to going. Bring rope , for rescuing someone if needed:)”

“We stayed here over the weekend and we absolutely loved it. The place is very clean and organized, the kitchen has everything you need to cook a home cooked meal, the living room is so cozy with the fireplace and kids stayed busy with plenty of board games while we watched movies. “A really nice and cozy hostel, has all the amenities you'd want! Kind of hard to call this a hostel, as it has a very homey environment with lot's of board games and a shared living room. Really recommended! Kim and Heather are super friendly and let us stay on a short notice, were very welcoming and generous. Bathrooms are newly renovated, and the rooms are awesome. The only downside which wasn't really a bother is that there's no AC, but many fans that work great. Loved the kitchen, has everything you could want in order to cook :) plus a coffee maker!”
