Address: Chino Corona Rd, Eastvale, CA 92880, USA
“I have driven by this place place many times but the gate is usually locked. Today was the exception. This is a wetlands with several pools that help clean up urban runoff before it released back to Santa Ana River. There are several displays throughout the area explaining how the plants help to clean the water. The displays also provide information as to how the plants were used by the Native American tribes for shelter, basket weaving and medicinal purposes. Unfortunately my time here was cut short by the maintenance staff. Although the sign at pedestrian gate says it’s open from 7:30 am - 5 pm, the staff member said the actual closing hour is 3 PM due to budget constraints.”

“This little Park reserve is pretty remote but is also a part of Lancaster CA history. If you were to visit the place, notice the fossils of the animals that are preserved. No they're not dinosaurs but they do make facinating conversations, and tells.”

“This is one of our favorite places to visit. Multiple peaceful trails, bridges, educational information to read, and wildlife and nature to observe (both in the day and at night). The moon walks are excellent, as well as the astronomy club's telescopes.Morning strolls with children, family, and friends are so nice. You wouldn't know you are right in the middle of central Lancaster. And how great that the preserve's expansion project will protect more Joshua trees and wildlife. We love seeing the birds, rabbits, and vegetation. There is also a great picnic area and educational center. Such a great place!”

“Melinda park has a nice open grass field, a decent kids playground, a half-court basketball hoop ( the rim isn't great, but OK), somewhat limited parking. there is youth soccer on Saturdays and adult soccer on Sundays in the fall. you can access the park from three entrances. It also has a historical building that has events put on by the city.”

“This place is wonderful. My 5 year old spent 3 hours here today and he loved it. There is a trail you can walk, tables to sit at, bathrooms. Most importantly the park is open, there is a clear view of the play equipment. Also there is a fairly clear view from one side of the playground to the other which is useful if you have more than one child.”

“Great little campground to rest in after cycling from Oakland. $7 To camp at the Hike & Bike Site. Hike and Bike Campground is number 3 which is under the trees and get rain precipitating from the trees at night so bring a good waterproof tent, not a minal coversheet like one poor girl had setup under when I arrived in the dark to discover. It's cold and foggy in the mornings but the sun hits the north western corners of the car park so you can dry out your tent and gear. Rangers were nice helpful and friendly, they tried to help fix a flat on a guy's pickup the next morn. Bike repair station is a great touch for Cyclists.”
