“A nice family friendly & dog friendly beach with a beautiful view over the Golden Gate bridge and far less wind compared to Ocean Beach. Bring your beach mat, some drinks & food and enjoy a great picnic. It is usually not too crowded so you don't have to worry about arriving early. The sand was quite clean except for 1 dead bird today.”

“It was an amazing experience. The city is just around the corner but you can feel relaxed and have fun while spending time in this park. It is a cool place for families and kids to spend time together and have picnic. Grab a coffee and a book and it will be a great place for one to spend the afternoon. I liked it a lot and I can’t wait to visit again.”

“Clean gym. Everytime my son has a sporting event there it is always kept clean. My only concern is the parking lot not being lit up well at night. Other than that no concerns.”

“There is one of the few public pull-up bars in the city here. Also a 15 foot tall statue that I thought was a skinny Rodney Dangerfield, but turned out to be a senator I've never heard of. It's a nice picnic spot between Aquatic Park and Crissy Field.”

“What an amazing find and a place to go for a walk/mini hike with your dog! Our girl loved the explorations at Mussel Rock and we also found a little sheltered cove where she could have her very first introduction to the ocean which loved. Very few people around, peace and quiet and the ocean. Beautiful scenery around. A very relaxing place so close to San Francisco. A small free car park is available.”

“Not exactly a hidden gem but tucked in behind the open expanses of Crissy Field is one of the premier vantage points in the city, if not the whole bay area. Stunning vistas of the GG Bridge, downtown SF, and Alcatraz. Sunset is especially rewarding. Good place to walk or even get your feet wet if you want.”

“I grew up at harrison park i remember when they where just barely building the park it was not yet completed.we had so much fun making jumps off of dirt piles there where in the middle of the whole damn property. We had fights at the park some pretty bad spills at the park along with some special moments at the park. All in all we still have the park.”

“If you're not up to a long hike from the Laguna side, drive up the Aliso Viejo side. Great view no matter how you get there. Turn on Google Earth to help you navigate the trails; the signage is non-existent (hence the loss of a star).”

“Huge park with workout area, large walking track, playground for the kids. But best of all...a bathroom! I meet with friends 2 times per week to work out. All the walkers are friendly. Great little community. At the back of the park is access to a large network of dirt hiking/running trails that I have train on for a Spartan race.”
