“Great quick hike to the middle trailhead. It is pretty steep for little kids but the terrain is easy without too much gravel. Lots of bikers but everyone we met on the trail was very polite. The trail offers great views of the Santa Susannah pass as well as to the North. The interior of the San Fernando valley can be seen on a clear day.”

“I grew up in Long Beach and but don't often make it to the interior of the park but got here at 6 a.m. in the morning in order to reserve a spot for our Thanksgiving dinner. The park is incredibly beautiful at this time of the morning and a gem hidden in plain sight. Great place to walk, watch Birds, and watch the sun come up. Just beautiful in the morning.”

“It's $3 during the week and $5 on the weekend. The fee actually help keep the crowds to a minimum. there are three playgrounds that are nice and well maintained for the small children. There's also a lot of picnic areas and a lake and sports complex. So nice facility for the most part.”
Address: 19734 Gridley Rd, Cerritos, CA 90703, USA
“I let my son spend time with his mom there when I take him for visitation. Be careful though, cars race down Gridley and run the nearby stop sign. Be careful with little ones.”

“I Love coming here for the scenic Beauty, quiet and calm. Often sit here surrounded by ocean air, the peace and meditate. For me, Portofino Cove has been an ideal spot for centering myself before re-entering an otherwise chaotic and divided Society. Enjoyable, friendly people frequent this Beautiful location (all for their own reasons) which make for pleasant interactions. Actually witnessed a Gray Whale calf swimming throughout here in August '17..Truly Love this place!!”

“First time going to this park even though it's couple blocks down from us. Liked it very much. The jungle gym is very well shaded and lots of trees to sit under. Lots of parking spaces and a little trail to run up it. My daughter enjoyed it. The view is also beautiful.”

“For years I heard of the Beauty that was the Jergins Building, always wondering what it must have looked like. So one day while taking this street I saw these columns and thought... pretty but weird. Finally I decided to walk on over and see what these thing are... To my amazement... The only remaing piece of the once grand Jergins. The building is no longer here and the lot where Jergins once stood has remained empty for 30+ years... but a little piece still remains.”

“The archery range is great! The paper targets are fun, but the foam rubber animal targets are super cool! The elevation changes make the range very challenging. I haven't shot a bow in years and had a blast here. Its very well maintained and easy to navigate.”

“Always a grand time here. Bring a picnic and enjoy the views and a great walk..”

“It's a park, folks. Bathrooms were clean (as of Sept, 2018), nice trees, a walking path, access to and from a bike trail, and a play ground for kids. Not a ton of parking though. The park is in u-shaped valley in a neighborhood of tract homes. You can hear nearby Soledad road, but it's less of a roar and more background noise that could almost be water if you just use your imagination and don't think too much. Park faces west so setting sun illuminates the area. The neighborhood homes sit above the park so I'm sure they have a view of you as you sit at your picnic. This off-the-beaten-path park is a real gem that could use more parking.”
