“First time visiting this sanctuary and finally our was a beautiful sunny day. The animals were relaxed and the grounds were clean. I loved the outdoor decor and natural stream running along the compounds. Our guide and the director were welcoming, informative and honest about the care and history of the animals. Shambala is a beautiful home with a committed hard working staff!”

“We loved our stay and will keep this place in mind for future visits. The space was perfect for our group - we were in a cabin. The pull out bed and bunk beds weren't as comfy as we would have liked, but everyone slept okay. The location was perfect for our needs... we were going to Six Flags. We'll definitely return to this location, whether for an entertainment visit or just to camp. Also, the staff was super nice and helpful. Just loved the location and accommodations.”

“it's a great park to come walk around in and lose yourself in the afternoon on the weekend. there is a good amount of parking available and there is a nice basketball court as well. it's easy to get to and worth the visit. there is a small play area for the kids and some great mountain views and city view as well”

“Nice resort along the Santa Clara River. Separate family and adult only pools/ areas which is great if you do not have kids. Very nice heated pool. Most sites are at least partially shaded. Only drawback: the Lancaster Metro commuter train runs right along it and they use their horns at all hours of the day and night which shatters an otherwise heavenly quiet. Ear plugs are a must if you want to get a good night's sleep”

“Visit this memorial, and pay tribute to American heroes. Individual plaques are on display here that honor each U.S. Navy submarine that was lost in action during World War II. Each plaque lists the names of every crew member who was on board. Of the 16,000 who entered the U.S. Navy submarine service in World War II, 3,506 never came back...”

“Recently moved to the area and decided to check out the park. The brand new playground (including a fenced in area for the youngest) is awesome - I so wish I had access to something like this when I was a kid! Overall the park has great amenities and a good vibe and we will be going back there often.”

“Great place to relax and disconnect from electronics. Lots to do, hiking, rock climbing or just relaxing with the family. Love that you can get a spot for 30 people and just have it for yourself. About an hour to town, so make sure you havw enough food, water, firewood and gear. I cant wait to visit again!”

“Awesome place for the family. Water is calm. Lifeguards are good. You can watch boats passing by. You can also catch crabs by the rocks if you're fast! We always just let them go though, I wouldn't eat them. Been going here for years. Do recommend.”

We've come here a few times since we live near by and people are nice and sociable and kids get along and play well but the place do get quite crowded sometimes, especially on the weekend where there will be parties and parking get a big tougher due to that.”

“Friendly people! Acceptably maintained! Lots of shade and grass and huskies, and very few holes. Maps doesn't take you to quiiiiite the right place but it's so close you may as well just park where they put you. Some cute half-regulation size agility equipment is scattered around. It's always too busy to use, which is good, more social time for my pup! But it's nice that it's there.”
