It has no shade but the surrounding trees can provide some and there’s plenty to explore all around. There is no parking lot but there is a curb away from houses where you can park. Playground is close to the street (see photo) as one reviewer mentioned, with no barrier or fence to keep kids from running into it.”

Reflection Pond (Chumash site at Windwolves)

Address: California, USA

Park

“Reflection Pond (area) a local Chumash site is well worth the hike. About 75 mortar holes, windbreak & stick sharpening area exists at the Northern sandstone rocky outcrops. This area was a historical local Chumash tribal food preparation site. Plenty of wildlife use this location, keep an eye out for rabbits, ravens, coyotes, bobcats, lizards and other creatures. Best times of the year to venture out to this location is late fall, winter and spring. Summer time you'll need plenty of water, nutrition and electrolytes out here. Shade is nonexistent so wear headwear to shade your head and neck, it can get hot out here. The distance is about 5.5mi from the parking lot to reach this site using El Camino Viejo trail. Truly an amazing place. 👍if you've been here.”

“My wife and I were searching for parks where we can take the stroller and our newborn for a spit ... and we found this gem! It's huge. It also always has a lot of things going on... from teams practicing baseball to people playing basketball, it has picnic areas, a water splash fountain area for kids to run around in, bathrooms, exercise machines outdoor that are free to use, as well as a whole lot more. It's terrific. Full of life. The best part is, whether busy or not, we never feel like we aren't able to be in our own world taking a stroll with our baby girl. The whole atmosphere is perfect. I totally recommend this park! Oh...and let me not forget to mention the parking....plenty of parking! 😁😎 I couldn't ask for more.”

“I love it. I just live down the street from miracle hot springs. Everything is stunning up here except for the trash and graffiti! I'll never understand why anyone could be so uncaring about our planet. Purely ignorant uncaring people.. in the warm weather tourist season you cant see the ground for the toilet paper! Just shameful! But underneath the garbage it's absolutely beautiful! Get there early around 5am on a week day and see for yourself. Just take your trash with you.”
