Blodgett Open Space

Address: 3786 W Woodmen Rd, Colorado Springs, CO 80919, USA

Park

“Great park with tons of trails to choose from. If you like the forest biome, this park is perfect for you. The Hummingbird Trail leads to Pike National Forest and also to Blodgett Peak. There are several hammocking opportunities near the official end of the Hummingbird trail and on the Red Squirrel trail. Great views of north COS and the high plains. Plenty of street parking. Overall I didn’t pass many people on the trails. The forest is very serene. Highly recommend this park for a quick weekend hike.”

Eben G. Fine Park

Address: 101 Arapahoe Ave, Boulder, CO 80302, USA

Park

“Love walking alongside the creek to the very edge before it becomes private property! Unique art is covertly scattered around the area. Fantastic access to the water and serene views that surround you on all sides. Eben G. Park has a few picnic tables, biking/running trails, great open space with luscious grass, a small playground, lots of grandiose trees for shade, and public restrooms. It’s a great spot/park to spend some time in nature and isn’t nearly as crowded in the morning! Perfect for cooling down in the summer, too, especially if you bring tubes!”

Boulder County Fairgrounds Campground

Address: 9595 Nelson Rd, Longmont, CO 80501, USA

Campground Lodging Park

“The location is excellent! Great walking trails and major stores within walking distance. If you plan to stay for several days, it's best to arrive mid-week to secure a spot and be sure to empty your tank before you get settled. There's a dump station but no campsite sewer hookups. The manager Derek does a fantastic job keeping the place orderly. The “feed the meter” no-reservation, cash-only system takes a minute to understand but it’s fair and works well for the spontaneous travelers.”

Mount Herman Trailhead

Address: Mt Herman Rd, Colorado Springs, CO 80921, USA

Park

“Nice Green trail! If you are traveling during the winter be careful for snow pack and ice as you will fishtail. Pack a lunch and enjoy the ride! There is an offshoot to take you to Woodland Park.”

The Starlite Long-Term Campground

Address: 30 Co Rd 3A, Cañon City, CO 81212, USA

Campground Park Lodging

“My lady and I stayed at Starlite way back in 2011. And like many others who have left reviews over the years, we had nothing but an AMAZING experience. I believe we met Larry when we checked in, he was kind and funny and made sure we had everything we needed. We stayed in one of Starlite's vintage campers, Lucy was our gal! She was perfect, including pots and pans and linens and I recall even some salt and pepper, which we forgot to bring :). Bathrooms were spotless, grounds were well kept, and other campers staying at the park were kind and respectful. It was a great trip, and the beginning of a healthy shift in our lives to travel more. Years later we bought our own RV, and are now considering a campground of our own in the future. We're quite thankful to Sylvia and Larry for the experience and environment they've built together, and chose to share with others. So, why am I leaving a review a decade later? Well, for starters I wasn't as hip to Google Reviews way back then, so this has been a long time coming and is certainly well deserved! But also because recently we've determined that we'd like to live long-term on a campground, and have been checking out long term locations in CO, NM, MN and OR. It dawned on me last week to check and see if Starlite offered long-term stays, and to my surprise, that's what they do now. Seems there are some folks* out there who don't quite get the business model. Sure, some campgrounds are all about the turn and burn. Campers in, campers out. I mean, what? Isn't like 99.745% of campgrounds out there all family focused? There are plenty of those. Starlite has always been a more unique experience, and with the vintage campers you already knew things were going to be different. So I'm not the least bit surprised that after all the floods and fires and god knows what else, the owners found a model that provides privacy, affordability, and perhaps more importantly, community. And that's something we hope to be a part of. Ryan & Zoë * I wish Google let us Like replies to reviews. Whoever is replying from Starlite is doing the Lord's work and deserves a drink. Bye, Felicia!”

Cloudscraper ZIP Line - Royal Gorge Bridge & Park

Address: 4218 Co Rd 3A, Cañon City, CO 81212, USA

Park

“The last item on my bucket list at 80 years old was to zip line. I wanted to do the Grand Canyon but the facility looked a little sketchy so my next choice was Royal Gorge. It was fantastic. I know the wait is long, yada yada yada, but it was well worth it! I had people cheering me on and a list of people in my pocket who contributed to my experience.”

Digger's at Dad Clark Park

Address: 3385 Astorbrook Cir, Highlands Ranch, CO 80126, USA

Park

“This is a smaller dog park so it can get crowded rather easily. The off times aren't to bad to go to but during the busy time it will be unenjoyable there can just be to many dogs there at once. Please as always don't bring a mean dog to a dog park it never works out.”

Travel Port Campground

Address: 39284 US-24, Lake George, CO 80827, USA

Campground Lodging Park

“~family owned and operated... I'd been super late on paying my storage fee a couple of times and they never hassled me about it, I'd just pay it up as soon as I could. Very laid back place, the cheapest storage rates you will ever find in the state of Colorado...they're the old fashioned stand up, look you in the eye, shake your hand, honor system kinda people that run this business. They are outstanding*”

Du Pont Park

Address: Louviers, CO 80131, USA

Park

“Visiting my son who lives in nearby community and he wanted to show me this nice short hiking trail he enjoys. Amazed at how the park looks with ball diamond, park shelter and the Greenest grass surrounding I've seen in Colorado. Yes I'm from the Midwest. The short trail eventually took us to a creek with and abundance of deer just grazing and checking us out. For some reason it felt like the air was cooler with humidity versus the dry air your accustom too once you leave the park. Maybe explains the abundance of trees and greenery. Nice Job with the Park”

Bear Creek Nature Center

Address: 245 Bear Creek Rd, Colorado Springs, CO 80906, USA

Park Local government office

“My friend, our daughters and I came here for an interactive nature class and we all absolutely loved it. There was story telling, a short hike, and crafting - all of which was fun for our kiddos! The instructor was incredibly patient, kind, and gentle with the children and I’d love to come back.”

Clear Spring Ranch

Address: Loren Lane, Fountain, CO 80817, USA

Park

“I love using this park as a photography location because it is so secluded and beautiful. Compared to my home, there are a lot of mosquitoes, so I like to bring the bug spray. The restrooms are great, but not always unlocked. Depending on the path you take, your scenery can be completely different than going a different way, so it's nice to explore them all.”

Southbridge Park

Address: 7791 S Windermere St, Littleton, CO 80120, USA

“This is a beautiful park. It had benches under trees to sit and relax in the shade. It’s very clean and is just one of the nicer parks that I’ve visited”

Springdale Campground

“Dude! If I could give this place more stars I would! We spent two weeks chilling at this place on top of the mountain. Towards the weekend we had neighbors but most of the week it was us and the animals. It's a bare bones campground so be prepared to do without luxury! The camp host is awesome and the lady knows her business and her mountain! If I could, I'd never come off the place!”

Atmore Outfitters

We enjoyed everything from watching the sunrise to reeling in all the fish, and to seeing you prep our fish for dinner that night! Which btw the Walleye was delicious! Cassey was so personable, provided excellent communication, and went above and beyond to make sure our experience was what we expected and more. We felt we got more at Atmore!”

“We stayed here for 4 nights. It was easy to find, and very well kept. There was no cable, but that was forewarned on the website due to construction. I cannot fault them for expanding and improving the park. It is close to all things Colorado Springs. The pool and splash pad were a hit with my granddaughter! We plan to stay again when we come visit family. In fact, said family requested that we do. The staff was so helpful and pleasant.”
