Little Talbot Island State Park

Great 4 mile trail loop, half woods and half beach. The wooded trail is wide and well maintained without many roots for tripping and is quite smooth overall. The beach section is fairly hard packed sand easily traversed and could go on for miles and miles to your heart's desire. Super facilities including multiple pavillions, charcoal grills, bathrooms (changing rooms, running water), showers, and friendly park service staff. Parking is close to the action.

Beauty as far as the eye can see. All the unique shapes and colors of driftwood and the beach and ocean makes it the perfect spot. Your at peace when your there.

I love this area of calm away from the noise and tall buildings in Jacksonville. I think it's probably best known for its driftwood on the beach but it also has a campground and is a good place to come and collect some shells.

Super campground with great sites nestled between berms and under huge oak canopies. Very similar to Anastasia State Park. Great park for windy conditions as the hills and trees provide great wind protection. 17mph winds during our stay but air was barely moving down at camper level.

Restrooms are maintained very well but there is no heat and the the upper third of the walls are all screened. Whatever temperature it is outside, it is in the restrooms. Lows of 42 during our visit!

Great beaches. Very secluded if your willing to walk a little bit you'll be the only person on the beach. If you don't want to walk you also have a lot of space and very few other park goers around. Great for fishing, walking, shell hunting or relaxing. We went in June. The park rangers are very helpful. If we are ever back in the area this is the only beach we would go to.
