(December 14, 2021, 7:40 pm)We have anchored for several days near the Timucuan ecological preserve. Very quiet and beautiful. Easy to get to the trails from the boat using our dinghy to get ashore. The trails are well marked and not crowded. The wildlife and birds are plentiful. Highly recommended.
Off course the preserve can also be accessed by road although I have never done it. -

The trails are not packed, well kept, and there are options. The fact that there are some hills, is Fantastic. You can bring your dog and it's worth a trip no matter what time of day! There are many nice views, even a lookout, and it's peaceful and lush.
