  Love this trail. Watch for roots and dog poop from inconsiderate dog owners. Heard the rumor of monkeys getting loose from a movie set years ago and living here, it is true. They were too far away for a clear pic but you will hear them if you don't see them about 3 miles in.

  Great hiking spot. Lots of things to see and take photo of. But make sure you go when it's not raining or just got done raining or you won't get far. Hence the name Marshall swamp trailhead it becomes a real swamp when it rains.

  It's an excellent hike I don't know if it's just me but I pulled in prematurely into a Ranger workstation where there were people working behind closed doors that were of no help at all. Make sure it says Marshall swamp trailhead before you pull in and then it's a wonderful Wilderness nature trail. I would bring mosquito spray all year as I was hiking in November and there were mosquitoes everywhere. Wonderful hike lots of nature

  It was a nice easy hike! Too many mosquitoes, tho, but doable.

  Very quiet nature hikes! Be mindful of the animals. They will mind their business usually though.
