“My girl just celebrated her first birthday and I wanted her to have the prettiest cake in the world. I found this cake shop online and saw just how pretty their cakes are and ordered one for my baby girl. It had all these wonderful pink roses and macaroons around it, with little blue leaves and glitter. And the taste was even better - chocolate cream filling with those fluffy pavlova-like layers. The grown ups and kids were so delighted and it’s usually hard to find the cake that parents and kids equally like. The lady who owns this shop said it’s her mom’s old recipe and I loved it. My birthday is in September, so I’m definitely ordering one for myself, too, maybe even an entire sweet table.”

“This is a beautiful park! Lots of parking at the different beach stops. There's kayak and canoe rentals as well as places to put your boat in the water. There's a visitor's center with information on the historic sites. We found a dock for fishing and crabbing. Plenty to keep you busy. We've spent multiple days here. Beautiful beaches as well!”

“This is an awesome place to eat. The service was fast and friendly, and the food was delicious. We enjoyed the Fish Dip with crackers and hot sauce, which tickled my taste buds, as well as some fried clam strips, which were quite tasty as well. These were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. These were our appetizers. Our main course included Blackened Grouper sandwiches, which were a tad spicy, but nothing dramatic, and ever so fresh and tasty, Cajun fried Grouper sandwich, also tasty in the Cajun style, and Crab Stuffed Grouper entree. Our sides included seasoned fries and coleslaw, and although these aren't what makes or breaks a fish restaurant, the fact that the fries were crispy and hot, and the coleslaw was creamy but not thick. Even the Dark and Stormy, and the Top Shelf Margarita happily satisfied their drinkers. Sadly, I don't recall the name of our waitress, but she was great, and the others seemed to be doing banner jobs as well. We ate outside, on the deck but the water with love music and a nice cover with a cooling fan overhead. Whenever I'm in New Smyrna, this is the place I love to eat.”

“The tour was spectacular and exciting although the Manatees were a bit coy the dolphins did not disappoint. Captain Bills humor and narrative were an added pleasure. The pontoon boat was roomy and provided a comfortable place to enjoy the sunshine and/or the shade under the spacious canopy. Brandon the first mate was a delightful young man and a pleasure to talk to. I highly recommend this excursion if you are in the area.”

“Very nice little oceanfront park, originally built by African Americans during the segregation era as a vacation spot for African Americans. A plaque commemorates the founders and tells a little about the history and historical significance. The park is owned by state/local government which keeps it modernized and well-maintained. An interesting feature of the beaches in this area is that you can drive your car up and down the beach (slowly, and for a fee - $20, I think)”

“My stay at the Aloha was fabulous! The manager and the owner were helpful to point out the nearby attractions. My room was clean and there was a full kitchen and bath. Also I got the best nights sleep. I have already booked my room for my next visit to the Aloha.”

“Great little out-of-the-way spot that might be overlooked by anyone but locals. It is small but it has a nice wooden walkway on the lagoon where you can fish or watch for manatees and dolphins. We saw several manatees and one very aggressive dolphin that rammed a kayak causing concern with the lady occupants. I tried to get pics of the dolphin but there is a delay on my camera phone and when I would snap a pic when it came up for air it would not be visible when the shutter opened. It also has a very nice piece of playground equipment for the kiddies. This is truly a little hidden gem.”
