“Fun family atmosphere with plenty to do. Pool area has a splash pad zone for kids and a lazy river for adults. There are three water slides and a zipline that drops into the deep end of the pool. The snack area has lots of refreshments and a table area. The indoor pool and jacuzzi is just as fun during the winter.”

“Beautiful place. I've been going here for over 20 years. From being dragged along by my family as a young child to going there now on my own to get back into nature. A lovely forest preserve with three different trails to take. One around the lake and two that go through the prairie.”

“If you like to garden, and feel like you belong to a community, this is your place. Meet new people every time you go. Sign up with the Naperville Recreation department and pay a small annual plot fee. Be warned, though, gardening is hard work and the weeds always try to win.”

“Love this park and so does my dog, Charlie. The only thing I wish they had is a water faucet or some kind of water supply inside the dog park. Regardless, it's a great park!”

“Great place. Trails are well maintained and easily identified. We went in early winter. There were plenty of signs of wildlife but most of what we were able to see were birds. Leaves had already fallen which adds it own look to the trails. The plan is to hike again in spring or summer for a seasonal comparison. There is plenty of parking which was surprisingly well maintained. This is one of those obvious places tucked into a community that one drives by without realizing just how large it actually is. Overall a great place to hike. Will definitely be hitting the trails here again.”

“Such wooded beauty in the middle of a big city suburb is rare. Blackwell is perfect for a refreshing touch of nature as you leisurely drive around the lake. Or pack a picnic lunch and stay a while. Great for family gatherings, group camping or a romantic boat ride across the lake for two. Plus there's an archery range and fishing in the summer and Mount Trashmore for snow tubing in the winter. A complete delight.”

“Cool place to hang out on the West Branch DuPage River. A very nice spot to take in a few minutes of fall colors too.”

“Good place to bring kids has a water pad and a regular Park and sandbox. Also has walking trails and baseball diamonds and there is porta potties in this summer so that's good. It is not too far from downtown Bartlett and is not too far from Bartlett Park so it's like the same kind of area. So if you wanted to go do something in downtown Bartlett you could walk there and it went to be very hard to get there. Also not too far from the train too so that would be good also.”
