“Beautiful Openlands Lakeshore Preserve! Where else can you find poetry, art, and murals while hiking along a ravine that leads to Lake Michigan?! Do want to mention that the preserve is a work in progress (IMO). Mother Nature has taken her toll, and the Openlands are doing a fantastic job restoring this beautiful place. I would say that it's not done...yet. What is "done" is beautiful so I focus on those aspects. It's worth the extra effort to find the preserve and enjoy it's natural beauty.”

“A great place to hike. No dogs allowed though. Bikes either. Trails aren't paved. Shortest route without any repetition is about 40 minutes. There's a Little Free Library here with nature books for kids. My daughter just LOVES getting a book about a new animal each time we go here. Bring your old nature books to share with other kids.”
