“A wonderfully delightful bed and breakfast, right on the coast. A short walk from bearskin neck and yet, it's far enough away to have some distance from tourists. My partner and I stayed hear one night on a whim and loved it. Their assistant manager is a chef by trade and makes a great breakfast. Definitely try this place out.”

“Located in a rather quiet residential area, this Inn has breathtaking views of the water. We stayed in the Oriental room on the second floor. There is a small deck to the side of the room, but we didn't make much use of it due to the weather still being a bit cold. A small TV w/ satellite is available in the room (everything shuts down really early in that part MA, so it helps to have something to watch at night). The owner, Randy, is a really likeable and friendly guy and took the time to go over various restaurants and areas of attraction. He doesn't serve breakfast at the Inn but does have arrangements for guests to obtain free and discounted breakfasts elsewhere. Given the cost per night, I would have liked a little more fluff (breakfast on-site and better housekeeping), but I still would recommend staying here for the views and the very friendly host.”

“This was our second stay at Rich and Jean's beautiful house on Salisbury Beach. Honestly, I don't know how this place could be better, and we have stayed there twice in the winter! I can only imagine how wonderful a stay in the summer would be. Picture sipping your coffee at the kitchen table while watching the waves crash outside your door. Grab your binoculars and watch the lobster boats or wildlife out on the ocean. Work off lunch with a long walk along the almost four mile long sandy beach, or maybe, like me, your idea of a great day is just curling up in a comfy chair with a good book in front of the fireplace. After staying in this house, however you imagine spending your time at the beach, this will be the house you imagine. There are hardwood floors, granite counter tops, a huge new downstairs shower, totally outfitted kitchen, two gas fireplaces, and a wrap around porch that lets you watch sunrise over the ocean in the morning with your coffee and sunset over the salt marsh in the evening with a glass of wine. Trust me. Once you stay here this WILL be the beach house of your dreams. Thank you Rich and Jean for another wonderful and relaxing visit.”

“Love it here! We are wrapping up our first season as seasonal campers and can't wait until next year! This campground is SUPER clean, especially the bathrooms. Pool is great, perfect for kids because it only goes up to 4 feet. Nice pond for fishing and small non motor boats. None for rent so bring your own. Decent activity schedule with cute theme weekends, but not much going on during the week. Arts and crafts and really fun and well run. The campground is mostly seasonal but there are a lot of daily/weekly rentals. Owners are really nice and very involved in all aspects of the campground. Very dog friendly. Very kid friendly. Quiet at night.”

“I took a chance on this place vs. going to the nearby Hilton which was quoting me $115 for the night. I ended up booking Ayer Motor inn for $80. Once I arrived and got to my room I was surprised at the modern inside. I even liked the fact that it was small business independently owned vs. a corporation. I don't do points or miles and only needed a place to sleep for the night so my standards were not unrealistic. Definitely don't judge a book by it's cover. This place I would recommend and I even saved $35.00 by staying there vs. the Hilton literally around the corner by 5minutes.”

“Don’t even have words to describe the amazing experience we had here. It was my hubbies first time at a B&B... it will be VERY hard to find any other that will compare to this one! Comfortable, cozy, delicious coffee & breakfast.. we felt like we were “home”... Thank you both for making our week there so wonderful and making us feel like family.”

“Only stayed one night but was pleasantly surprised with the size of the room. The cleanliness, the modern furniture including the fridge and size of the TV. The king size bed was very comfortable. Plenty of parking. Close to highway exit and local shopping, restaurants and bars. Free breakfast. Nothing bad to say”

“Very nice hotel - not overcrowded. Helpful staff, spacious and modern rooms. All needed facilities in walkable distance. Only field for improvement is breakfast and its poor variety. After 7 days I think I'll never eat scrambled egg again”

“My brother was recently married here. We drove up from NYC and were very impressed with the Inn and owner. It is a beautifully kept and maintained property with every detail thought out. For how many events take place here each weekend and how many people attend the property its immaculate and very well organized. We had a great time and would highly recommend it for an assortment of gatherings.”

“We stay here twice a year once at Thanksgiving and another in the summer. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The rooms have all been updated and the facility refaced since a storm surge flooded it. It's a basic clean comfortable motel.”

“The house and room were magnificent- gorgeous, spotless, decorated perfectly for the holidays. It was warm and inviting- the staff was even better! Kind, welcoming, and accommodating- I truly felt "at home". They were gracious and answered all of our questions. Breakfast was fantastic. I am already planning to stay here again for our next trip. I cannot recommend this place any higher.”

“Wonderful location. Very old fashioned, wood panelled walls, funky and real. Not for those looking for a perfect shining modern hotel, but great for the rest of us.”

“This place is so cool. This is the second time my family has stayed here, and we are anticipating booking for a third time. Tony was, and is, a solid host and guy. My wife and I are up here now in December for a mini getaway during the Christmas season. The area is beautiful this time of year, and being able to see the sunrise from our room is amazing. Take the time to come here and stay, especially this time of year. Rooms are a bit dated, but adds to the charm. The little touches such as candy and cookies everywhere, and a christmas tree really made the trip.”

“Good value: If you're looking for a 5 Star mainstream hotel don't expect to find it here. This is an old business with a nice nostalgic feel. The room we had was clean and smelled nice. They are slowly renovating the place and their service is excellent. I would stay here again especially if I was looking for a bargain and some old school feel.”

“We had our wedding at the Emerson Inn in early November. We can’t say enough wonderful things about the whole experience. The Inn is beautiful with gorgeous ocean views, but maintains a relaxed and homey vibe, which is absolutely perfect. We had exclusive use of the inn for our guests and everyone commented on how much they loved their time there. The whole weekend felt so personal and “like us,” and didn’t feel like a cookie cutter type of wedding whatsoever. The food was OUTSTANDING. Many people shared with us how much they liked the buffet that we had. Even the breakfasts were terrific each morning! And lastly, Candice (the event coordinator) was amazing to work with. She thought of everything and made our wedding day feel seamless and special. We will be returning to the Emerson Inn for years to come!!”

“Great room with an amazing view. The owner was genuine and very polite! We took a walk down the road to get ice cream around 7pm. Not too long of a walk being 28 weeks pregnant. Woke up to the sound of the waves crashing and walked to the lobster cove for breakfast.”

“Nice camping area. Clean bathroom, fire and dogs allowed. Mostly RV, but we stayed with a tent. Fee per night was $48.”

“This is a very good camp. My brother has been going there for 5 years now. The best thing they don't allow internet devices. They keep kids entertained all the time. They have a family day when they let you visit the camp and enjoy all the activities available. My favorite things are the lake activities. You can get use kayak, pedal board, boats, and the most exciting is the tubing. Also, food is very good and kosher.”

“The word garbage comes to mind. The road looks like the illegitimate love child of a category 12 hurricane and a 9.9 magnitude earthquake. The speed bumps do more damage to vehicles then drone strikes in Syria. I award them no stars, but my girlfriend lives there for now, so 5 stars.”
