“After just moving in a few months ago, we can truly say that we feel completely at home in these beautiful apartments! We live in a safe/quiet building, in an extremely large unit, with tons of natural light, beautiful crown molding, and best of all in-unit laundry. We’ve found that everyone living here is extremely friendly, and have noticed that the grounds are kept impeccably clean. The building is within easy walking distance to the train, downtown area, farmers market, and the amazing greenway which space for miles! The only downsides to living here include the difficult parking situation (on weekends mainly). Only one designated spot is provided per unit and being next to an extremely popular restaurant, those patrons often take up the extra parking in front of the building leaving us residents with two cars few options for parking. In addition, this building also does not have an elevator (odd being that it was only built a few years ago). Overall though, we absolutely love the building, the location and and the convenience to everything one might need!”

Strict community & Application and that's important. Units are spacious, updated, nice quiet place. There is some issues minor things to serious. Place needs a playground park & full landscaping makeover is a all much needed overdue. Security is okay with the plate reader & cameras alert police/ towing patrol. Added speed bumps is great as is any additional safety security. Place is good though! Excellent schools , Close to everything. Local Transit Bus stop, all major Hwys. Located near Route's 1 & 130. “I had recently went to car point auto group because I was in desperate need of a vehicle after I lost my car to a car accident. When I found a 2019 Hyundai Kona SEL online I decided to call the dealership to see if the car was available still and if I can test drive it. A gentleman named Nomaan helped me out through the whole process and set me up with a day to come see the car. Also because I was a few days out still to settling the dispute on my older car with my car insurance company, they were gracious enough to help me get the car still and gave me 2 weeks to be able to settle the money I needed for the down payment. All that to say that Nomaan and the guys down at Car Point Auto Group are top class and always try to work with you in any way they can possible. Great prices, great cars and great customer service! “I lived in these apartments for a year and although it was sometimes difficult to get in touch with management, generally my experience was good. My oven developed a gas leak halfway through our lease and we were not charged to replace it, although it did take a week for them to get a new oven. Neighbors are polite and friendly, I never felt unsafe in this complex. There is lots of green space out front and porches on the complexes if you like to spend time outdoors. Aside from the oven, I never had any maintenance issues and only $12 was taken from our security deposit because of damage to blinds that very likely happened due to my cat. My one recommendation is to just stay on top of management if you need something, and they will get back to you eventually!! Smaller maintenance requests were always fulfilled within 24 hours. If you're looking for an affordable apartment to live in Highland Park, this is a good option! One final caveat is that parking enforcement in the lots behind the complex is slim to none, and people will often double park in the lots. Most people who park in the lots live there, but not necessarily all of them. Honestly, just street park your car, it's not worth it to fight for a spot. I've seen several instances of damaged cars because they were double parked in the lots.”

“I've lived in the community for a little over 2 years now with my parents and our dog and its been wonderful honestly. Everyone has been very helpful and kind since moving in, staff and tenants included! Brittney and Rachel in the leasing office have been great with answering any questions I've had and welcoming us in! The gym/pool/patio area has become my favorite place to hangout! The gym is always clean and organized no matter what time of day I choose to go (plus I loved seeing the new equipment in the yoga room!). Maintenance has also been on top of everything Ive needed since moving in. Along with keeping up with normal yearly maintenance, we know if there's ever a problem we can call Tom and he will be there asap to help us! I had this wonky blender that would blow out fuses every time I used it, and every time I would call Tom to repair it he would be there immediately! It's so nice to know that the community really cares about its tenants! Avalon has been really great, there's a nice mixture of ages from young kids to older adults and everyone in between! It was also very important for us to live in a pet friendly environment with our dog, and Avalon is that! The dog play areas, the dog "spa", the doggie bag stations all over the property really are nice to see and have come in very handy!”
