“Hidden treasure. Lots of scenic views. Pretty easy trail. If you have very young children who are impulsive, this may not be for you. Some areas of the trail do follow the edge of a steep cliff and there is no barrier.”

“Beautiful little park.. Lot of families from nearby areas visited this park with their little ones. But starting this year, they only allow village residents with a photo id to the park.. Non residents have to pay 10$s to enter the park.”

“I rented an RV space for 3 nights for my niece and 3 kids who were on a road trip passing through my area. I toured the campground before booking and couldn't believe how cool and innovative some of the rental options were, all tucked away in a pleasant wooded area. Ours had a little deck right off the camper with benches and lighting for a private outdoor sitting area. Others options were way more elaborate. My niece and her kids LOVED it! The kids had a big playground space, and there was also an indoor "gaming" area that was great for rainy day activities. Bathrooms and showers were close by and very well maintained and clean. Everyone we encountered there were super friendly and helpful. Great experience all around!”

“Such a park is essential to live well and live vibrantly in a city. The autumn leaves, cloaking the park in sparking, kaleidoscopic tones of red and orange, offer a thrilling and vital contrast to the solemn majesty of the slightly decayed brownstones that line the park. Even if you do not spend much time in this park, its existence is essential to the pattern and basic cohesion of the city. This is a storied park, adorned with statues and ancient groves, a place where one can sit in the shade and feel the weight of ages past, not as a burden or responsibility, but as a soft blanket providing relief from the gruff, chaotically vibrating this institute of a strange and uncertain world. Come to this park if you're in Albany and spend a moment being wrapped in its soft, undulating, and bucolic comfort.”

“I recently went with my partner, it was my first time at a nudist campground and being nude in public. I felt very comfortable and everyone was friendly. We just visited for a few hours. Enjoyed cooling off in the pool and lounging around it. Walked down to the small pond with a field next to it, very pretty and quiet. Lots of active frogs to watch/listen to. Liked the open shower room. Didn't spend time indoors but there is an indoor seating area with tables. We do plan to visit again this summer for the day. Scenic drive and area as well.”

“I actually live one block away from this park. I lived in this neighborhood for 28 years. Aqueduct 🚶♀️🚶♂️ walk has seen a major renovation. When i first came to Aqueduct walk it was a sad sight to see. The lights in the poles in the park where broken. It was totally dark at night. The park benches were missing parts and pieces. The handball courts were always littered with empty beer bottles and cans. Lots of drug paraphernalia. It was really bad. Today it has been totally transformed into a beautiful park. New park benchs and lighting all over the entire park. Handball courts are brand new and well maintained . The park has a new play area for the children. Giant sprinkler included. New water fountains and even a beautiful garden area. All these areas are opened in the morning and closed at night by the Parks Department. The areas are patrolled by the NYC POLICE at all times. The park and surrounding areas are safe and Aqueduct walk is now a place where i will bring my children to play. I recommend a visit.”

“I stayed at the Saratoga RV park for almost a year. In that time I was treated almost like Family. I found the Manager Mary and her Husband Tim to be extremely down to earth people and very helpful and pleasant in any dealings I had with them. The rest of the staff were always great to deal with. The park itself was always in tip top shape. The new renovations currently happening should make for an even better experience in the near future. I would definitely recommend a stay at the park, I considered a home away from home and I think you would also. Happy camping to all, be safe and above all else have fun. Thanks, John R”

“My partner and I found Haight's Park because we were looking for less commercial camping grounds in the area. We wanted a nice, peaceful quiet spot to enjoy nature and each other's company. We got it all and some! Originally we had planned to tent camp, but were shocked to find that the cabin pricing was very reasonable. Once we got there, we were impressed. The cabin was beautiful, outfitted with everything we might need. A groundskeeper even chopped some wood for us! The available porta-potties were very clean. The campsite and surrounding RV sites were quiet and serene. The views were astonishing. From the porch of the cabin we were able to enjoy the sounds of nature while watching both the sunset and sunrise. It is also located far from any light pollution and the stars were breathtaking. If you don't need touristy amenities and are just looking to enjoy nature, this is your spot! I'll definitely be back again and again.”

“Cute hidden gem! I never even knew about this park until my friend had to wait an hour to fix her titles with Costco. So we waited and killed some time relaxing and munching on some food in the park. Definitely relaxing and nice to walk in.”

“History hidden in plain sight! From 1956 – Dec 1961 these buildings were dedignated BU-09-C and were forward control forming part of the NIKE Anti-Balistic Missle system protecting Buffalo and Niagara Falls from Russia's Cold War Threats. Examine the buildings closely and you will see red lighting and warning horns once deployed to warn of an impending attack. In the undergrowth behind the buildings are the knocked down remains of communication and armory structures distroyed when the Army transfered the property to the Town when the area facilities were made obsolete by longer range systems. The underground launch facility BU-09-L is located about a mile to the North-East at the end of Town Road 4845.”

“I usually go to East Greenbush store when it is garden time, but Glenmont is the best store if you have some kids who running around excited by bows and bells and Christmas. They have lovely wreaths and a great selection of decorations. Be careful about Google maps directions! It always directs me to the sidewalk at the back of the store, not the parking lot! Ignore Google Maps and be sure to stay on Fuera Bush Road.”

“This beautiful farm is wonderful for camping. The campsites are private and secluded and have great views. There’s also a new tower and cabin retreat, which we just stayed in as well. The owners are really sweet and responsive. The farm stand (open to the public) offers vegetables grown on the farm, firewood, and other camping necessities. Nothing beats a dip in the spring here — this place is one of a kind!”

“Beautiful preserve. Didn’t get to walk the trail as the recent rains caused the swamp to cover the trail no did see the red maroons for a trail, though. Google maps directions do not get one to the ‘main’ entrance. The entrance is on Rt404 where it’s called ‘bear swamp road.’”

“A large park with trails, soccer field, volleyball field, playgrounds, Queens zoo, and more. It's particularly beautiful during the spring and summer time when it could get very crowded on weekends. There are many food stands during the peak season which I found it cool. It's a great place for family to hang out.”
