“Such a cool place only ten minutes from downtown Albany! A short trail from parking lot along the creek to follow for a cool view or swimming for dogs (or humans). Halfway through is a large fenced in dog park, little shade structure with picnic table and open grassy and woodshed area. Next to a community garden. Would love to come back again next time in the area. My dog had a blast :)”

“One of the best campgrounds I have ever been too. My wife and I stayed at the deluxe cabin and it was such a great experience. There are trails around for activities and Mayville is only 5 minutes away. It was in a great location. Everything was extremely clean and well kept. The only issue we had was with the futon, it was very uncomfortable. We ended up using the twin mattresses instead. Loved how there was a shower and toilet right inside, it made life so much easier. Would definitely stay here again.”

“We spent one night at the campground on our way to our final destination. We had a great site for our big rig. The campground is very nice with a beautiful lake. Lots of things to do for the kids. Beautiful pool. Clean restroom. The staff was very nice especially Stacy. We realized the next day we forgot an important piece of equipment for our RV. We contacted the campground to see if they could us. Stacy went above and beyond to help us retrieve our piece of equipment. It would have been very expensive to buy a replacement. Again you can feel campground family atmosphere. Again thank you to help us to solve our misadventure.”

“Amazing oasis of greens in the concrete jungle of manhattan. The green areas may be better maintained but overall looks and feels great. This place is popular amongst tourists and health freaks, good for running, exercises and yoga. The view from the river side is breathtaking. Would highly recommend this park”

“Beautiful view from the park to the church, and we heard the bell rang, which was nice. I like the circle area surrounded by greens and trees. It’s right next to Ryan Health Women’s and Children’s Center, which could be convenient.”

“This was a VERY last minute plan so I was surprised to find a campsite with such a convenient location! There's a dollar general and a crosbys right there around the corner! My friends and I rented a cabin fir a weekend trip, and the location was beautiful, of course the cabin was smaller, but you are there to camp, not sit in a cabin, it was such a cute shack! Make sure you do bring sheets! We painted rocks, forgot them, near an open fire we started with our complimentary bag of fire starters! There is a pool and this week there will be a water heater! This community is very lively and children safe, with weekly activities to keep you stimulated and connected! We got an opportunity to play bingo in the most unique way possible, but you'll have to experience that yourself because I'm not going to tell you how. With that said, do visit!”

“Thought the home looks impressive on the outside, wait till you see what’s on the inside! I went into the tour not knowing what to expect, and it was truly a time capsule of Theodore Roosevelt’s life. There’s a lot of antiques from all over the world; the space really highlighted just how much of a free spirit and adventurer he truly was. Our tour guide was spectacular in weaving the story of Roosevelt’s life in such an interesting way. I had no idea that an inkwell could be made from the foot of an animal, or that Roosevelt valued living life to the fullest despite being told that he wouldn’t live past childhood. It’s a touching story, and being in the house really brings you back in time to the mindset and interests that Roosevelt had. He was sort of an erratic genius? I highly recommend this tour, and supporting the space by purchasing tickets online. 10/10 experience!”

“I went to this beach to watch the sunset and it DID NOT disappoint! The beach is small and clean for the most part. There were secured kayaks and canoes which made things look a little messy, but they were out of the way. Special bonus: a small herd of deer came running onto the beach at sunset. It was terrific!”

“**Please turn off your headlights when sitting in the lot because wildlife can see the flashing LEDs even if you can not.** This is a great place to watch migrating waterfowl from. The Eagles are mostly active 2 hours around sunrise and sunset. Their nest is about half a mile nearly straight out from the parking lot but they come closer to feed. 8x binoculars are about the minimum 12x or more is recommended. Pictures below are my phone through 12x binoculars at about 400 feet.”

“This was our 2nd time coming here. My wife and I stayed from Thurs to Sunday. We are a lot more seasoned with our popup trailer and we wanted a close get away. Check in was quick and painless. Made sure we had the same one as the one I picked with the online reservation. We got close 100s to be closer to the restroom. Probably should have asked for clarification on where our site started and ended as they do not have clear boundaries. If you go pole to pole it almost looks like 1 site can have 2 fire pits. Just ask at the office for help, will solve land disputes. We had to wait till the tent campers left before we could head out. It's pictured. Total trip was great. Not a lot of people and the weather was nice. They had a food truck one on Friday or Saturday. Only thing that's a bit much is their shower situation. I get they are on well water. All trailer sites do have water lines. So why do the showers have to have either push button or hold the handle for the showers. Also, they are preset to a certain temp. So make sure you shower when it's warm. I took 1 when it was 58 out and brrrr. But we like it enough to keep coming back. If we can get a seasonal by the bathrooms, we probably will.”

“Very nice park with beautiful views of Manhattan. On the last day of our week in New York City, we bought lunch at a local deli, then came here to enjoy our meal. Sat on a park bench and enjoyed the view. Weather was beautiful.”

“It's great for a meeting spot for those not from Rensselaer-u can literally see the park as u get off the exit! I used to walk the trail/path that wraps around the entire park itself w/my dog-1 side is a softball/flag football field & the other side which is where main parking is has a playground & couple picnic tables for adults-also a gazebo to catch some shade-they recently put a 🚻 bathroom & not a Porto pottie! I gave it 5 stars because of my personal experience-like I said it's great to take ur dog early morning or later in the day when it's not so hot-there r shaded areas just few & far! I also forgot to mention the basket ball courts/& tennis court! The basketball courts r right near the river so u catch a good breeze 👌 😎”

“Just got home from a wonderful little getaway at Good Natured Glamping and we highly recommend! My husband, kids (2 and 6 yo), and I spent 2 nights in their bell tent. Kelly and her husband ensure non-campers have what they need to have a lovely glamping experience. She really pays attention to details to make it a special stay! My husband and I spent a lot of time in the setup under the sunshade (I will be buying a hammock after this), my 6 year old thoroughly enjoyed the ladder golf game that was provided, and our 2 year old had plenty of area to run around and play with his tractor. Next time we would plan to stay 3 nights!”
