“This massive playground complex is located in queens and has a sprinkler playground as well which was on early June when we went. It has several unique features which are hard to describe in writing. Pool is three feet deep all around and is free.”

“Seems like a pretty good little park. There is a nice pond with lots of ducks and geese. There are benches along the path, not very good for anything but walking though. It looks like i missed the northern half of the park that has more of a trail, I'll have to go back and check out that part.”

“A real gem of a park in northern Manhattan. Get lost in the old growth woods of this park that borders the west side highway running from Dyckman St. north to the Harlem River. Biking and walking trails, baseball fields, tennis and basketball courts and great views of the Harlem River from northern Manhattan looking at Spuyten Duyvil and Marble Hill in the Bronx. American Bald Eagles were raised in the woods some years ago and can now be seen soaring over the nearby Hudson River. Check out the Dyckman Pier at the southern end of the park. You won't be disappointed.”

“🎡🎢 What an amazing gem of a park! This place is absolutely perfect for families with young kids. My little ones had an absolute blast! 👶👦 🎉 The rides are designed for kids above 36 inches, and those between 42 and 48 inches can ride alone without an adult. Plus, there are some exciting kiddie rides that kids up to 54 inches can enjoy! 🎢 🚗 Ample parking space and a relatively uncrowded atmosphere made our visit even more enjoyable. The $15 wristband with unlimited rides was definitely worth every penny! 💵 ⏰ We made sure to come early, and we practically had the whole park to ourselves, which was fantastic! The park is open from Wednesday to Sunday, 11 am to 6 pm, during July and August. Make sure to check the website for the most up-to-date hours. 🗓️ 🎡 My 5-year-old and 1-year-old went on multiple rides and had an absolute blast! It's a fantastic place for a fun-filled family day. Highly recommend for parents looking to entertain their little ones. 🥳 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Definitely five stars from our family! We'll be back for more fun soon! 🎡🎢👪”

“A very interesting park full of hidden gems to do and see. My favorite is the view of the Statue of Liberty 🗽 on a clear day across the water. The park itself has many places to sit, gardens, art fixtures, playground areas, and people fishing. Directly next to the Pier A clock tower area, and connected on the other side to Hudson River Park, Little Island, and Chelsea area.”

“Me and my family have been camping here for years. I wanted to say, for a lot of the bad reviews, they were under past ownership. I've worked with the current owners for a few years and they're nice people. The campground is incredibly enjoyable and they're always adding new stuff every summer. Of course no place is perfect, but for a small team, they're doing pretty good. On top of this, I know several of the seasonals and they are always kind and willing to help.”

“As a parent who frequently takes my kids to John J. Burns Park, I can confidently say that this is one of the best parks in the area. The park is always clean and well-maintained, and there are so many activities available for kids of all ages. Whether you're looking to join an organized sports program or just play a pickup game with friends, this park has it all. The abundance of courts available for basketball and handball is also a huge plus, and the fact that the lights are kept on until 11 PM in the summer months means we can keep playing even after the sun goes down. We've also enjoyed attending the free concerts hosted at the park during the summer, which are always a hit. Overall, John J. Burns Park is a fantastic community resource and a great place for families to spend time outdoors. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and active day out with their kids.”

“Amazing experience! The rent was so comfortable with shower and bathroom and the bed was very very nice. We slept like babies. Our host Joe was very helpful and friendly and we had great conversations around the fire (with a glass of wine). We went hiking and we used the bikes on site as well. Everything was available to cook- we just had to bring our food! Best of both worlds (camping and comfort!) very quiet place, mostly suited for couples”

“It is nice park, cozy to sit on their benches and enjoy the view, the pond and the ducks, many kind of roses and other flowers. You can enjoy reading your book and lovely nature and bird's singing. You can also many kind of souvenirs in their interesting shop and some times there is a plant sale.”

“This has long been one of my favorite little parks in the city, a hidden gem to borrow the cliche. I discovered during my first of three jobs in the neighborhood and visits here during lunch got me through the challenges of each. My photos are of the construction of the waterfront trail and esplanade across the FDR that I'm anxiously awaiting. I suspect locals are not looking forward to it however, as it will reduce the park's isolation as a pocket park used mainly by locals.”

“I found Flower Scout serendipitously on Google when I was looking to order flowers for a friend. I wanted something thoughtful and classy that was locally grown. I called, they answered immediately, I paid by venmo, and that same day a BEAUTIFUL seasonal bouquet and vase was delivered. I even received a text with a photo. My friend absolutely loved them because they are not your run-of-the-milll bouquet. The wildflowers have so much depth.”

“New disc golf course is pretty nice! Can’t wait until they finish all 18 holes— very promising so far. Could use some better signage, maybe better, less messy tees. The park itself is well kept.”
