“Gorgeous fall colors, quiet, secluded, easy parking, dog friendly, we even saw a deer! A little more info on different trails and views would have been helpful, or a map. Instead of just seeing a sign telling us all dogs must be leashed! Still, worth a stroll, very romantic.”

“Pretty fun place to mtb with a small area for jumps for beginners and intermediate riders. Lots of climbing to get to the highest point in the park but fun downhill once you get there. Small parking lot but usually not too crowded at least on weekdays. No facilities except for a portable bathroom.”

“Nice baseball field (OP1)with half being artificial turf. Wooden bleachers were ok but view from visitors side was awful due to thick fence poles, small mesh on the fence and bad angle. It was hard to judge balls and strikes. Overall a nice playing field though.”

“Very nice park to spend the day. Two playgrounds. Two baseball fields. A picnic area you can rent for parties, BBQ, or any other gathering. There's a couple of tennis courts a creek to fish in. There's water and a comfort station. It also has a bit of history. The old headless house man's trail.”

“Kind of a 'hidden gem', very nice views of the water, very quiet, very relaxing. Great place for photographers, a nice amount of birds, and a much-needed space of tranquility. You have to kind of drive through Playland to get there, and there isn't great signage to direct you – I used the GPS on my phone. This could be a small inconvenience for some people, but it also might serve to keep out people who aren't serious about these kind of green spaces.”

“Great time at the park with my daughter. She loved the splash pad (gated) and really enjoyed the park as a whole. Free street parking, free splash pad, two different gated playgrounds that are separately gated. There's a bathroom and a picnic area that's great for snack time or even lunch. Would definitely recommend.”

Address: Long Beach, NY 11561, USA
“Nice lengthy boardwalk with plenty of beach access points. Somewhat easy to find free parking in the fall especially during weekdays. I would suggest bringing your own food or snacks as there are only a few options along the boardwalk, and are very spread out. The sand on the beach is well maintained and clean, great for kids to play.”
