“My wife and I visited The Wild Onion on Saturday evening. We were there when they opened at 5 PM. There were several people already waiting for them to open. I admit that I have been by this place many times and hadn't paid much attention to it because it never seemed to be open when I was there. It turns out the are only open a few days each week and open at 5 PM. The restaurant is a quaint little place with a lot of character. The first thing I noticed was how clean it was. Then, I could smell the good food that was cooking. This is a family style restaurant. If you're not familiar with that, it means that they serve the sides in bowls for the entire table with unlimited refills. Their menu changes depending on what fresh food they have available. All of the sides come with every entree. If you order a vegetable plate, all the sides are included. I had a steak. It was very good. My wife had the vegetable plate which included squash, black-eyed peas, cucumbers, and hush puppies (they call them something else that I can't remember now). We finished the meal off with dessert, which is also included with each meal. Everything (includind the desserts) are homemade and delicious. The service was outstanding as well. I think we have a new place that will be added to our favorites.”

“Shane’s is not bad for a fast food style BBQ. I like it better than Dickey’s as they have some more interesting menu options and their prices are in touch with reality. My only negative about these guys is the consistency. Sometimes steak fries, sometimes crinkle cut. Sometimes wing sauce is spicy, sometimes it’s mild. Sometimes there is way too much sauce, other times its lightly sauced. The staff are great and friendly. And I love somewhere that leaves sauces out for you and doesn’t make you beg for them. Except ranch, you have to beg for that and they will still forget to give it to you.”

“We heard some really good things about Oceanfront Grill so we were excited to give it a try. There is not a lot of seating so my first suggestion would be to call and make reservations. My second suggestion would be to bring some extra money you're going to need it. My kids both got the burgers $8 and $11. My son got the double cheeseburger which was $11 and he added lettuce, tomatoes, onions and bacon. Which raised the price of his burger to $13. Just be aware that when you add even the lettuce and tomato and onions they will charge you for it. I ordered the single crab cake which was a 95% crab and had a delicious flavor. Our waitress was super pleasant and the restaurant had a very nice atmosphere. We sat outside on a deck of sorts that overlooked a pool. I wish we could have seen more of the beach though. Overall it was a great experience but the price kept it out of a five-star running.”

“My husband and I stopped here for breakfast and it was great. Good home cooked food! The pancake was delicious and was the same size as the plate it was served on. The fried bologna and scrambled eggs with cheese were cooked to perfection. My hubby had the salmon cakes and eggs and he thought it was great. “The best African food! This is senegalese food, the lovely food of Senegal! I am never disappointed. The people are lovely here and are happy to tell you about their food. I recommend teaching yourself about their menu before ordering so you dont miss out on anything especially delicious. A favorite of mine is their Okra Soup with foufou (pounded, fermented yam and plantain). Be sure to eat the fufu with your hands and dip it in the soup! I also love their Bissap juice which is like a sweet, hibiscus-mint juice. I like their okra soup a bit more than Ghanaian okra soup i found out- they cook theirs through, while Ghanain okra soup its more slimy. Definitely worth the try, and if you like spicy, be sure to ask for a side of hot sauce to dump in your soup! I also tried their Fataya which is also good, flavorful, and with perfect texture. I sat in the restaurant and enjoyed myself very much! It is small though, so maybe not best for a very large party.”
