“I hike frequently and wanted to explore other parts of Codorus. This place was much better than expected (and way better than Laho trail). It is very beautiful scenery and a great walk. However, somebody needs to work on trash clean-up. Why not take care of the body of water you created?”

“A nice trail to take a hike on. Old abandoned road and union cemetery off trail too! Mostly runs along the water and about an hour long loop.”

“A cool place to ride your motorcycle through, unless you are trying to keep your chrome clean! Its a mixture of dirt and gravel roads, so it can be tricky if the roads are wet. I have been here on my bike a few times in the winter. There are some creek crossings which are fun! Make sure you have enough clearance to cross the creeks without getting in trouble!”

“Beautiful. Great views, plenty of playing field for sports, playgrounds, areas for bbqs, and nice amount of trails. Scenic overlook of the Susquehanna river is awesome too. Great big birds are abundant on sunny days, if you love nature this is a great place to visit.”

“William Penn State Forest is a great place to go for a dayhike. The terrain can be a little hilly. Off the trail there tends to be a lot of underbrush and thorn bushes, so it is best to stay on the trail. However, the scenery is well worth the hike.”

“Beautiful, big labyrinth. Peaceful and serene. Carol is as welcoming as her labyrinth! Will definitely be back in the spring/summertime to see the plantings in bloom. Thanks for hosting me and my son! -Michelle”

“We have stayed in the Promised Land Cabins a few times. Each time it has been a wonderful camping experience. Even when it rains you have a dry roofed in area outside most cabins. Each cabin has it’s own assigned bathroom with shower in a separate building. At least the ones along Bear Wallow rd. The wildlife is plentiful in this location. During my last visit my family saw bear, deer, chipmunks, Squirrels, and much more.”

“Always a great time. Quiet and Clean. Priced well. Wood at the park for sale is extremely overpriced and we'll rather small. Bringing your own is always a good idea. I enjoy camping and day trips at this state park and go often”
