“This is an out of the way park with many picnic tables in the woods surrounding a large lake. There are many trails that I hope to explore when the ice melts off of the trails The park also features a nice playground for the youngsters. The staff is helpful and friendly. There is also a heated restroom as part of the visitors center. I am not sure if they allow overnight camping. I did see at least one boat ramp with ample parking.”

“We enjoy picnicking here. There are lots of picnic tables with small grills, clustered here and there between the trees to give some privacy; also some pavilions. The smaller children enjoy the playground; the older ones, hiking the trails. Several years ago we with extended family, stayed in the yurts (we had all four of them) and enjoyed it very much.”

“The conococheague institute in mercersburg pa is an outstanding place to learn about the local history. This year they put on some excellent events. My favorite was the pow wow. I know for myself it was very educational and I believe for a lot of other people it was also. I believe that event was held in a very respectful manner. And it seem to have a lot of community support. I've been hoping to make it back for some of the lectures the hold their and other educational programs. I'm just disappointed my schedule hasn't allowed for it. However the first free moment I have that they have an event I will be back. Most of their events are great for all ages. I know my children loved the pow wow.”

“Great park to learn how to mountain bike. Good place to bring your kids. Kids need access to parks like his one to grow and develop. There are streams to play in and a trail to walk. There is also a little play ground and lots of picnic spaces as well as open fields to play sports on. Highly recommend visiting if you are in the area.”

“I went when the fair was around; it was loud, crouded, and fun. Fireworks we're being shot about, the food venders were making excellent food to endulge in, and the rides (the good ones, not the kiddie ones) were amazing”

“One of the reasons we moved to this area was to ride on this Trail. Always enjoyable we go during the week to beat the crowds and it's usually an excellent shape compared to the Maryland part of the trail. Just can't wait till it's warm again”

“This is one of my favorite trails to walk on or ride bike on. Its very well kept for the most part and you can take this trail pretty far. The trail stays next to the river almost the whole time and keeps you cool during the summer months. There are also a bunch of places along the trail to stop and sit or see different things along the river.”

“Always have good experiences here. Disappointed that I moved out of state. Still has some of the “locals” feel to it, people still wave and say hi when driving around the trails. Hope to be back soon with the friends that still own property there.”
