This old growth forest has many trails to explore, trees to see, and wildlife to watch. A must for any nature lover. *EDIT- I hope given the more recent controversy over the zoo clearcutting part of this old-growth forest, that the city will more formally protect this area from further loss. This forest is too special to lose!”

“This is one of Shelby County's greatest assets! It is well maintained calm even occasionals security. Recently when I was riding they even had someone going up-and-down the green line blowing the leaves off the trail so you could see it easily. All of the green line is paved with asphalt and seems to be well maintained. I love the feel of being in the city but feeling like I'm out in a farce sometimes. A wonderful breath of fresh air!”

“The trail had just the correct amount of resistance without knocking the wind out of me at the top of the hill. Trail is half a mile long. There is a playground at one end of the park so my toddler had something to look forward to at the end of each lap. This kept him motivated to keep moving and I really got a burn. There's a portapotty as well. Definitely will patron again”

“Great and easy outdoor biking trails. Good for family outdoor day. You can jog, sprint, bike, skate here with minimum difficulty. Just be mindful of others as this trail can be narrow at parts and it tends to be crowded at the weekend.”

“We enjoyed our visit to T.O Fuller state park our first TN state park. The sites are spacious but the seem to but up to each other so you may be looking at your neighbors out your windows. The park has 50 amp service and water no sewer but they have a dump station, the hiking trail was energizing lots of up and down, but clear path. They have washers and dryers as an amenity $1 per load. The reason for the 4 instead of 5 star is due to the amount of debris and trash left in the sites along the edges of the forest. A good clean up day would do it wonders.”

“My family started renting the space apart from the gazebos near the pool for our annual outing. The area is spacious; there’s a kitchenette and restrooms. The ranger and other staff members are attentive and polite. Due to the pandemic, we elected to not congregate this year. As soon as this pandemic is over, we plan to reserve the area again.”

“Great lazy river with a sandbar that provides access to the water. The area is not very maintained so unless you have a truck or a jeep, plan on walking. There is some trash but its not too bad. If you want to bowfish, this is a great place to practise.”
