“Tl;dr you get what you pay for. Check in was easy enough, I would recommend an upstairs room if you have the choice, this gives you two lockable doors from the outside world. The two queens seem larger than regular queens which is a plus. The rooms are rather small but the cable package is large. Being right across from the beach is a huge plus, but the lack of reliable parking is a downside. Great for college trips to Galveston.”

“All around nice place. The one guy who is at the desk is very nice and helpful. The spots have water, electrical, and sewer. Very close the ocean for ease of access. One downside is there is minimal to no enforcement of the rules. But we have enjoyed and will continue to enjoy going again.”

“Been here for a few months! Staff is always friendly. My rent is very reasonable. When I have issues in my apartment, they come and fix it right away. No bugs in my unit. Very quiet. I like the security of having a gate. anyone just can’t get in unless you have a key or know someone with inside. Overall, the best place I’ve had on the island. I love it here”

“Very nice place. Solid and dependable, clean, nice staff. I don’t expect much from hotel breakfast and it was decent enough. My 2 comments for this place to consider are: you need another waffle maker, the waffle maker is clearly the centerpiece and main event of the breakfast line and with only 1 it got backed up pretty well. And the other thing is your coffee could use some work. I’m not expecting Gourmet, but it should at least taste like coffee not just be coffee colored water. That’s it, 2 very minor complaints. I definitely would recommend this place and stay here again.”

“This is an INCREDIBLE hotel! I went here in late July and i LOVED IT! The staff is nice and friendly, we have our own private beach away from the main beach, and a pool! There are landscaping people who clean up the area near the hotel and they do a great job! there are Trolleys to help you with your bags in the lobby. Its not even that far from the pier! If you're staying in Galveston, this is the hotel to go to!”

“If you love historical buildings with rich history you will love this place. Also, if you live the paranormal this is also a great place to stay. This hotel is supposedly haunted and has a great ghost tour you can go on that ends with a wonderful meal. But no matter what you are looking for you will find it here. From what we were told there is more paranormal activity in certain areas of the hotel than others. So if you are adventurous you can ask to stay in a room where there is high paranormal activity. Bit if you just want an elegant get away in a beautiful hotel that is rich with history you can ask to stay in an area that is not known to have paranormal activity. But whatever your reason for going. You will love this place.”

“Richard and his staff are simply one of a kind. Long story short my wife and I had about a week to find, plan and execute a wedding - a task we thought impossible. Then we found The Lasker Inn and Richard. Richard and his staff handled nearly every aspect of planning the wedding and come the big day, executed it to perfection. We could have never planned something so perfect had we had an entire year. Wedding venue aside (Which you wont find a better one in Galveston) the Inn itself is spectacular. Every room was grander than the last and the location, service and food is simply unbeatable. Whether you are planning a wedding in Galveston or simply there to visit you need not look any further than the Lasker Inn! Thank you again Richard and Staff for being more than we could have ever asked for!”
