“Absolutely a 5 star provider. My mother passed just before the FEB 2021 deep freeze and blizzard. Most everything had been setup with what could be done in advance months prior. Mom showed no signs of illness but passed in her sleep peacefully but it was sudden. I would recommend doing as much as possible ahead of time even if there is no anticipation as it makes things so much easier. Amidst the freezing weather my nephews drove down from Michigan. Simple Cremations allowed a Sunday viewing which was a treacherous drive in a blizzard but they were very accommodating. All three of our primary contacts were perfect. Amanda our main person helped us handle the details and assisted in writing the obituary page which they have a really nice provision for that and allow photos and posting provision. Jackie the, attendant to our viewing, was great and met our wishes with a nice visit. Charlene who we met for pickup and completion was equally as caring and thoughtful. Even though we did not meet the staff that prepared Mom's hair clothing and makeup, it was perfect and I would expect the rest of the staff is just as attentive to detail. Thanks so much for making things easier. I highly recommend doing what you can in advance. Thanks to you all!”

“The baristas are amazing here very friendly and helpful the bank tellers or whatever they are seem to be people watchers standing there watching the baristas because if you ask them a question they direct you to a online service and they are not very welcoming. anyway i love the drinks and the peets team.”

“It’s hard under the circumstances of losing someone you love to even think about the processes involved, Green Cremation however made it so much easier to grieve and get things done at same time. Melissa went out of her way to make sure My loved one, my family and myself were able to understand the process and get to say goodbye to my beloved husband. I highly recommend Green Cremation, they really made sure we were taken care of and actually made us feel like we mattered and our feelings did too. Thank you Melissa and Green Cremation for all you’ve done and even continue to do for me. If you’ve made it this far to have to look up reviews please consider this company; I am so sorry for your loss(es) as well!”

“In preparation for my father’s funeral, during his hospice care, my mother, sister and I knew we wanted a beautiful classy funeral, a memorable one to honor my father’s life. We knew of a few places we wanted to look at, the first one a new funeral home near where my parents lived. The first funeral home became the last one we visited, we immediately decided on Castle Ridge Mortuary North, it is surrounded by beautiful oak trees, just like my father’s home. As you walk in you will notice how new, updated and beautiful it is, the smell was pleasant, and personnel were well dressed and extremely kind. As we were guided to the two rooms they offered we fell in love with Room 1, the pews the decorative ceilings, the lighting, and the large window, with oak trees outside, and the sunset would make its presence. Above all the window was useful especially with Covid-19, visitors could walk from the outside of the funeral home to view the casket and loved ones. The next task was selecting a casket, they showed us discounted caskets, we thanked them and asked to see the other caskets. In the room they had a patriotic navy-blue casket, with an American flag in the interior where my Father a Disabled Vietnam Vet would rest, it was fitting for our hero. After selecting the room and casket, we sat down to talk with Nina, she’s a very intelligent, thoughtful, and understanding person; she made incredible suggestions. We selected a slide show and viewing of inside for the parking lot due to Covid-19, and livestream for both days for those unable to physically attend. The livestream would be recorded for all observances, and would be available for 90 days, including the slide show they put together with our photos and their music, also providing a CD of the funeral in its entirety. After almost 2 hours of planning we left feeling content and at ease that my father will be smiling of all the right choices we selected for him. That night he passed, as if he knew we had taken care of what we needed for him to rest peacefully. Once the funeral home opened we called, they sent a hearse to take my father to another location where they do the embalming. We had an appointment at 3pm for the final arrangements. This time Samantha assisted us, such a nice, caring, smart young lady, she helped us with the final touches and arranging the dates. My father being a buried at Fort Sam with Full Military Honors, and the Church my Father attended were booked, it would be almost two weeks for the funeral. We worried he wouldn’t look the same as he did when he passed, we also worried that they would make him look slouched, they assured us they do excellent work. Two days leading to the funeral they posted his army photo on their LED marquee outside, this made us smile driving by. Finally, after 13 days we saw my father again, we cried how handsome he looked. He looked the same as the morning he left his home, they did amazing work on him. They set up a table covered in a beautiful patriotic red color where we could put all his Vietnam medals, photos, and a few picture stands. They had a beautiful standing cross and a standing American Flag. It was more than what I expected, they treated us extremely well. The next day prior to leaving to Church, without requesting they put two mini American flags on the hearse, we asked if we could pass by his new home, in addition to the home he raised us in, both near the Church. They did as we requested, we passed down the main road of his new home since the street was too narrow. The house he raised us in we were able to circle in the cul-de-sac, all while they played the slide show of his life. After the Church we headed to Fort Sam, they continued to give us the same politeness-I highly recommend this Funeral home, it is new, updated, beautiful, and all staff members are caring and understanding, they exceeded our expectations, they went above and beyond to honor his life. I can ensure you they will do the same for your loved ones.”

“I never had anyone to me pass away before and when I called the full home I was helped by a nice lady named Carlene just a God send how she helped me handle my loved ones request to be cremated when he passed. I had alot of questions and Carlene was so patient and understanding with me,my aunt, and my step sister. All got all my questions answered and they didn't even charge to have my fathers remains transferred from one place to another without any charges for transferring him to his final resting place. I was very pleased with the service I got and to know my loved one was cared for deeply by the nursing home where he passes. Thank you for all your help Carlene!”

“The staff of Forest Ridge Funeral Home sets the bar very high by providing excellent service when clients are at their most vulnerable, saying goodbye to their loved ones. I’m so grateful for the care that was taken when they were able to ask the right questions, listen to exactly what we requested and then they went above and beyond to meet our expectations. Steven and Jason were the perfect team and were always available for even the smallest question from me and very accommodating to our whole family. The entire staff is so kind and never seem to tire of answering the same question many times due to us feeling so overwhelmed by the sudden loss of my husband. Incredibly professional, genuinely caring and just when you think you’re impressed with their service, they’re still able to take it a higher level. Beautiful entry and Chapel, Pristine pianos and I highly recommend their services.”
