“The rooms are kept up really nice. It's like a home away from home. It really is. Everything you need is here and you can even meet new people. Although it was a little hard to find, it has great rates. You get more than what you pay for.”

“Room was very nice, bed and pillows were very comfortable. Staff at counter was friendly. Only negative was the Very long wait for the hotel shuttle to pick us up at the airport. Over 30 minutes we stood outside and I would've taken an uber if I had known we would be waiting that long. Shuttle to the airport was on time thankfully”

“Our recent stay in the Houston area brought us to this little gem. Not far from I10, all the amenities anyone could want. Clean and well maintained. Although there were several long term campers there, all were nicely kept. Any need you had could have been found nearby. This campground was near all of the activities we had planned in Houston. The pool, walking path around the lake all gave a relaxed and calming vibe considering you were near such a large city. Highly recommend.”

“I would give this bed and breakfast six stars, if I could. Everything was top notch from the location to the cleanliness to the hospitality to the “homeyness”. We had gone to the Houston Space Center that day and this these accommodations weren’t very far from away. And we still got to be on the water, which we love, even though we were so close to Houston. We requested a fire in the fire pit when we made a reservation and John had one going for us when we got there. The breakfast the next morning was awesome. Kelley had made, what she dubbed a “pelicans nest”, which was an individual cast iron skillet breakfast with everything “breakfast” inside.... hashbrowns egg, cheese, tomatoes, bacon, peppers, and mushrooms. She was also accommodating to any allergies or specific requests we had. She also made homemade cinnamon rolls which were delicious. If that wasn’t enough, we had a cute little parfaits full of fruit as well. The “love” that was poured in to this bed and breakfast was obvious, in so many ways. Loved all the little touches that made it the Pelican’s Nest. And, yes, we saw pelicans.”

“I had a BLAST!!!”
Address: 1601 S Broadway St, La Porte, TX 77571, USA
“We have been here for 3 weeks. My wife was nervous at first because of the reviews but here's what our experience has been: 1. NO bed bugs. We have not been bitten by ANYTHING and have seen absolutely no indication of bedbugs. 2. MUCH quieter than expected. Neighbors are friendly and will mind their own business. 3. Yes, most tenants are here long term but that's a definite plus. At least you're not seeing strangers every few hours like in other places. 4. Very convenient to stores. 5. Owner/Manager has not been dishonest at all. There have been times when we have not bothered to get a receipt. He has consistently been fair and very honest. Ultimately, we will try to stay here until we are stable educationally and financially. This place is NOT as terrible as other reviews have made it out to be.”

“Rooms and great and all the staff I have encountered are great. We stay at this hotel about 10-12 times a year and I've never had any issues. The gym is nice, spacious and clean. The small refrigerator in the room is kinda annoying. To save energy they only run for certain period of time (I think there is a 2 and 6 or 8 hr option). Then you have to restart it.”

“This is the place you want to stay if you are traveling for business in the Spring area. Rooms are very large and incredibly clean with wonderfully comfortable beds. Free happy hour with drinks and food Monday - Wednesday. Friendly staff who greet you with a smile each time you come in. Plenty of parking. Only con I can think of is that there are no outlets on the night stand, I had to pull it out from the wall to access the outlets behind it for my cell phone charger. Overall wonderful hotel.”

“I absolutely loved this place. If you want a good parking spot, I suggest paying for Valet unless you don't mind walking back and forth. The staff was great!!! They printed us out a whole list of things to do in the area. They have a heated infinity pool that my children really enjoyed. We will definitely be back.”

“Quiet, off the main road rv park. Not overcrowded; they provide a good balance of rental space on the property. The owners keep the property well maintained and clean...cleanest rv park in the Baytown area. Owner just installed secured, access gate to add to security and privacy. Bob, the owner, is very friendly, while his wife makes an incredible carrot cake. I would highly recommend! (the rv park & and the carrot cake) ????”

“The overnight guy is really nice didn't have any problems they do have quite a bit cops going in and out but I think that makes it a little bit better most of the time quiet except when people getting off of work for a little while can't complain”
