“While visiting family during the Thanksgiving holidays, we decided to book a last minute hotel room. We opted to give AVID a try not just once but for three nights in a row. We were pleasantly surprised. From check-in to check-out, we had friendly customer service with a smile. The first night, we stayed in Room 417 with two queen beds thinking our son was going to say with us. The bed, pillows, linens & comforter were so comfortable! Nights two & three were spent in room 428 with a king size bed. Again, we slept very comfortably. If we had any neighbors, we never heard them. Thank you Raymond and team for helping make our stay wonderful! Next time we’re in town, this will be our go to hotel. Keep up the great customer service with a smile!!”

“Very nice and super clean park. They did a great job with the layout. We only stayed one night because we were in town for an event but we are looking to return asap. The pond area and jogging trail is such a nice feature. The bathroom/showers are private and make you feel right at home. Theresa is so incredibly helpful and just as sweet as pie. Her hospitality alone is enough to make us want to keep coming back. Our fur babies loved her too!”

“Absolutely gorgeous, magical, sparkling yoga weekend at Ruby Retreats. Really well thought-out logistics made the stay comfortable and seamless. The catered vegetarian food was top-notch. Thoughtful decor touches included plush towels and a badass book collection in the common area. The nature walk from the lodging area to the yoga barn provides a lovely transition from social time to classroom time and back. A highlight of the weekend was the expertly facilitated drum circle on top of the hill with a gorgeous sunset playing in the background and the night sky milky with stars, topped off with a ride in the back of a pickup truck back to the lodge. I don’t know about you, but I don’t get to ride in the backs of pickup trucks too often, and my friends, this was a delight. Five stars: gorgeous venue, uniquely laid out and flawlessly organized. “I stayed here for about six months. This is a fantastic place to stay. The sites are spacious and level. The park is on a quiet county road just south of Bertram. The park itself is very quiet. The internet is fast and able to stream live TV. The cabin in the center of the park has washers, dryers and a shower. It is accessible 24 hours a day. Amazon, USPS, FedEx and UPS all deliver packages directly to the cabin out of the elements. Trey and Ashley own the park and are on site as well. Everyone I met there was super friendly. Would definitely recommend a short or long term stay here.”

“We stopped at Fabens for the night on our way back from California the day after Thanksgiving and it was snowing a little further up on our trail so we decided to play it safe and got a room for the night. It was pretty late when we arrived but the front desk was still available we got a room with two beds for 125. They're linens or clean and so comfortable! I wanted to steal the pillows and the comforter seriously lol most comfortable bed I slept on through my whole week trip. The coffee machine Hot sugar and coffee available the pot that was not glass which I appreciated and the bathroom was clean and spacious. There was Wi-Fi and heat which we were grateful for all of it. The woman at the front desk was also very friendly and has a lot of plants like basil and eggplant and peppers growing on her premises which I thought was genius.”

“I stayed here around 3 months because I was working in the area. I usually don't post reviews unless I'm trying to help others avoid a bad experience but I had to write this review because this place was very nice and hassle free. Great neighbors and great management. You can pay through PayPal which is nice if you don't like having to chase someone down to give them a check after work or on your only day off. It is rustic but that's what I like about it and it was very quiet and peaceful which is awesome! They also do a background check to help keep the knuckle heads out which is also great so I highly recommend staying at this campground if your in the area!”

“My family and I LOVE hideaway lake! The staff is always friendly and always willing to help with whatever you need. We were there this weekend and our friends got stuck in the sand and the staff didn't hesitate to assist and help. During our stay, the staff went to our campsite and asked if we needed anything and if we are doing well! Amazing and so comforting to have such attentive and friendly staff. “We really enjoyed our stay. Great place for a peaceful experience with kids. It was nice and quiet... definitely a perfect getaway for our anniversary (when dealing with three kids). We enjoyed observing all the animals, especially the camel. He had a lot of personality haha. We met the owners parents and they were so sweet and accommodating. Our sons really wanted to see the peacocks and they held hands with our sons and took them both inside the caged area. It was awesome. They even got them both a peacock feather. We met Carrie during check in and she was just so sweet and accommodating. They also setup a crib in our room for our 1 year old which was so nice. It saved us the trouble of bringing along a pack n play. We stayed in the upper room which was tastefully decorated. Everyone was so kind and friendly. All in all, we were very pleased and will most likely be visiting again.”

“My family and I stayed at the Uptown suites in Austin, Texas. Our home was delayed and we were not sure how long we would need to stay. Staying here was the best decision I made, during this very stressful time. Everyone was amazing, friendly and professional. Everyone from the front desk, maintenance and especially the wonderful cleaning ladies! The building is pretty new and being well kept and maintained. In the almost year we stayed, we had seen the carpets cleaned and touch up paint where needed, they had all the AC units serviced and were very good at communicating what to expect. They cleaned our room weekly and provided us with soap, towels and toilet paper. I do suggest you bring your own pillows and utensils. We used an instant pot daily. The fridge is a nice size and their are a good amount of cabinet space and storage but no counter space for meal prep. If you need a temporary place to stay, uptown suites is there to help take some of your stress and anxiety away at a pretty reasonable price.”

“We absolutely loved our stay at Creekhaven Inn! From the beginning, the staff was so welcoming and caring, and they really thought of every little thing. The breakfast was delicious, and the rooms were spotless and adorable. They even left a handwritten note on our breakfast tray the first morning welcoming us - who does that anymore? Such a nice touch! You can tell they really take pride in what they do and are happy to have you stay there. We also loved the amenities: kayaks, creek access, bikes, hot tub - we did it all! “I went to visit a friend that I used to work with. Living in a mobile home community myself I take notice of alot of things others typically wouldn't. The grounds were well maintained. No vehicles torn down up on jack stands, no refrigerators on the front porch or W/D er's for that matter. To sum up , very quiet, neat, well maintained community. I would have scored it 5 ⭐but I couldn't because the mobile community I live in is hands down one of if not the best in Nueses County. I do have to add the streets need alot of attention. My ratings are based off of a couple or family looking to get out of apartment rental blues and take first steps into the American dream , home ownership. This park has affordable homes for those who are ready to step out of apartment living and enjoy a little more of the private and personal living experience.”
