“This is a very lovely park with lots of green area space. There's a play place for children that is colourful and attractive. There are seated available for anyone who wants to seat. The seating area is nicely shaded with a table available incase you want to eat or put your stuffs on it. Parents could also seat and supervise their children from here. There's a McDonald's across the road from here, just incase you unexpectedly wanna snack on something yummy while here. There's inadequate parking available. Just limited spaces infront of the park but people often park in the residential area by the park”

“I love this park! One of the best parks in Garland. I love it because it's clean, it seems very safe, even now that night falls faster, and the trees cover the playground for days where it's so hot or sunny, the kids don't get sunburned.”

“Braunig lake is a wonderful getaway. It feels that I am so far away but yet I'm just in the back yard of San Antonio. Fishing is good certain times of the day. You must go early to find a great spot. If you would like to reserve a spot then you'll be set. You are able to camp out. The rates to enter are very reasonable.. love braunig lake”

“I love the old evolution of the the free skate parks. It's really fun. I've been skating for 46 years so enjoy watching the sport take off again like it has. No pics I was alone no photography. Sorry”

“Nice small park. City recently installed new safer playground with more accessible features. Small skate park and simple paved perimeter trail for walking or running. Paved trail is also good for training kids to ride bikes.”

“Fantastic hidden gem. Easy trails. Great, lush, scenery. The views of the river are amazing, as well. Only issue I’ve had is people not respecting the leash law! Keep your pets leashed!”

“Such a peaceful, family friendly place to go. Whether your thing is Basketball, Fishing, Trail-Walking or Jogging. This is the place for YOU, & your family. Sometimes I go alone, sometimes I go in groups, I’m always pleased with the atmosphere and it warms my heart to always see families at the Pavilion and dog-walking the trails. The beautiful Lake is my FAVORITE part. Visiting you may run into me and my two dogs, as we are frequents. You’ll Enjoy it! The best things in life are FREE.”

“This park, while somewhat small, is a very reasonable park for the surrounding neighborhood. It is generally quiet, but can often times be found being used for kids sport events. The pond, when full in the spring, is definitely a great view with the bird and turtle activity it attracts.”

“Great walking / jogging path . The park has 2 entrances and I prefer the Lake Entrance . There is plenty of shade from the trees for most of the path but as you can see there is a 10 minute walking area that has no trees to protect you from the sun . The path takes about 30 minutes to complete at a medium to fast pace. Enjoy !”

“For the little space it has, it's very scenic and it has a good quiet environment. The views of walking through is nice and it's calming to walk or to get a good workout. It's very diverse in the paths and it'll tell you which is good for handicap, people new to hiking, or people that needs that extra push over. There's a bench that you can sit on and have a good view of the nearby city.”

“The outdoor classroom in Comanche Lookout is well designed and beautifully located. With the huge hewn boulders for seating, the covered pavilion has a degree of permanence. The Park & Boy/Cub Scout troops do a good job of maintaining the vegetation around classrooom & facilities. In all the four years walking in the park, I have never seen any classes in session nor any group using the facility. The Julia Yates Semmes Library is in charge of managing the use of Classroom. Observed several in facility who were either planning day's activity, reading, listening to music, mediating, relaxing, or sleeping overnight. It is a nice place to stop before or after walking on the Library Circle or Loop.”
