“This is truly a "hidden gem" nestled back in a little commercial area just inside of Hanover County along the Henrico County line where Staples Mill (Rt 33) turns into Mountain Rd. It isn't much to look at, but they are friendly & skilled professionals. I have had body work done to a total of 4 vehicles here. Some via insurance, some self-pay. Outcomes were excellent, nearly perfect every time. The staff has helped me work with my insurance company, the rental car companies, and given me many suggestions to save money when appropriate. These are some down-to-earth people who take pride in what they do, and it shows in their customer service and their actual vehicle repairs. I wouldn't recommend anyone else, after the positive experiences we have had at Murphy's!”

I failed to give them sufficient notice to prepare one of their signature Northern Neck dishes for lunch so they took me for lunch at the car wash. Sadly, we took their car so mine is still dirty. But the fish of the day and she crab soup were delicious. The fresh beet salad (while not everyone’s cup of tea) was fantastic as was the sweet tea. No true southerner can resist him some sweet tea. If you’re ever in the area, give Keith and Natalie a holler. If they hear ya, you’ll get fed or taken ...”

“Went in to pick up a few things to winterize the boat. From the time I walked in the door until I drove off I was treated like I was the only customer in the store. I needed 2- 2.5 galonsl of oil. Two gallons of RV antifreeze and some oil and fuel filters. Not only did they have the oil and antifreeze, the counter man walked them out to my car. Everything was in stock except for 1 specialty fuel filter, that was put on order and will be there Tuesday. Excellent service, good inventory, and locally owed. Recommend them to everyone.”
