She makes a point to listen to what my goals are fitness wise and designs workouts that are challenging without using bulky weights. Each workout is different and keeps my body guessing. Sonja is also really great at developing challenging workouts that take into account my physical limitations - having chronic knee problems - it is difficult for me to do certain types of exercises and work certain muscle groups. Sonja incorporates such a range of exercises I am able to work on toning muscles that previous trainers just ignored. “I joined right when they opened. It's the best of two worlds: taking a kickboxing fitness class and also effectively having your own personal trainer who adapts each and every workout to you nine-rounds of workout for what your body, your fitness, and your weight, and your stamina can handle. I added going to 9Round back onto my new year's resolution because while I'm a devoted member I don't attend nearly enough. That's my goal for 2018. Even in the 30 minutes if just one loop of 9 rounds I get completely soaked. But there's no limit to how many cycles you can do our how often you can attend. The only downside at all is that it's closed on Sundays and it's not open all day, every day, just early mornings and late afternoons, which is perfect for the lives of normal workers. That's the only negative thing. Another positive thing is that you are allowed to use any of the Northern Virginia studio gyms that the same owner owns. It's very convenient. Also, the first workout at any new or different 9Round gym is free. Good luck! Oh, and you get to wrap your fists and wear anything boxing gloves at 9Round. Not optional but awesome!”

“Update 2: Halloween wall! Update: I dropped a star because it takes them forever to make new routes on the bouldering walls. In this regard, ET was a lot better about putting out new routes every single week on at least one portion of their bouldering walls. In the month I've been here, the routes were changed only once and that was due to an annual event they had. We'll have to see how frequently they change it up from here on out. First of all, don't trust all the pictures you see on here and Yelp. The gym is renovated and colorful and big. I like this climbing gym better than Earth Treks because: 1) it's slightly cheaper, 2) they give a free one week trial, 3) parking is free and readily available during the day, 4) the climbing routes seem more fun (compared to ET in Crystal City). The only downside is that the weight room area is a little small, but that's no problem to me since I go in during the day. Definitely getting a membership here!”

They offer a line of Cybex Eagle fitness machines, dumbbells ranging from 5 lbs up to 100 lbs, a full set of Olympic weights, squat rack, smith machine, rowing machine, treadmills, elliptical, stationary bikes to include a recumbent and spin bike, fitness bands, plyo boxes, medicine balls, and more. The cardio machines are hooked up to Cox cable along with four TVs mounted on the wall. Clean, friendly, and accessible.”

“I finally caved and bought my first lulu clothes last week at the recommendation of my gym buddies. So far I'm very happy with the pants! I love the waistbands and the 7/8 pants are perfect for short people. The store clerk was extremely helpful in explaining the different types of fabric and how they perform for different activities. She also explained the washing instructions to make sure my pants last. So far I'm happy with the store and their products!”
