“It’s funny how things work out. About 8 years ago I stumbled onto this gym and was curious so I stopped by and chatted with David, he was very welcoming and down to earth. He told me about his approach to fitness and coaching style and it seemed like the perfect gym for me but for whatever reason it took me another 6 years before I returned to actually take my first class. At age 51, and with chronic back pain and mobility issues from an injury in my 20’s, I started working out at CrossFit Gig Harbor 3 days a week with the hope of improving mobility and my level of fitness. I had no idea it would become my home away from home. I can’t remember the last day I missed; it’s my daily shot in the arm and my fitness level is far beyond what I ever expected. I’m at the gym 5-6 days a week now and it has changed my life and reset any preconceived ideas about what life after 50 should be. At 53 I am in the best shape of my life and I’m still what I would consider to be a rookie at this fitness thing. It doesn’t matter what level you are at. The coaches at CrossFit Gig Harbor will address your needs and encourage you in your journey to physical fitness. “Nice little park tucked away. It's along a busy road but it's very peaceful and quiet, considering that. Nice little walk around the pond with lots of trees and vegetation. Parking can be a little tight if anyone is having a gathering at the pavilion. However, can park along the street or in the good-sized lot at the other park across the street.”
