She does a fantastic job at reading her class, which varies quite a bit, and includes advanced poses for those needing more while also including ways to modify for others that may need more gentle poses while recovering from surgeries, injuries, etc. I love that she includes natural herbs, essential oils, and sound healing to enhance many of her classes. She’s constantly learning and refining her practice, and passes her knowledge on to her students. Her presence alone is calming and inviting. She’s definitely my favorite yoga instructor! “I will say Pilates is like yoga on steroids and personalized physical therapy. Pilates is not just a work out it is a work out that physically betters YOU to your core. I am a massage therapist, with that comes abuse to my body and posture. Jyl is working with me to correct my postural deficits while strengthening my core. If I went to a PT they would say go do this ten times and come back to me when you're finished. When I go to Jyl she watches exactly what I do. She makes sure I am doing the exercise correctly and fixes what I may be doing wrong as to get the best outcome. Jyl is amazing at what she does and I am so happy to have found someone who loves what they do. It is obvious Jyl not only enjoys what she does but takes great pride in getting the best results, whether it means starting you out simple, slow, and steady or jumping right in and maximizing her hour with you.
