“Amazing!!! We stayed with 3 kids (9,6,4yo) and 2 adults at Fortuna Hotel for a week end of April. We had a 2 bedroom with a kitchenette. Rooms were very clean, well equipped. Kitchenette had basic plates, utensils and cookware - perfect for our needs. There are two pools, the bigger one is a bit warmer, perfect for the kiddos. Sun chairs available and you can also get beach towels and beach chairs. The beach is a very short walk from the hotel making it perfect to switch up during the day or go out to eat in near by restaurants. The staff at the hotel went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Ilona was amazing and she even gave us pool noodles for the kids + toys and even sun creams....saved us a trip to Target for those things we couldn't bring with us. Can't recommend this place more. We will be back for sure. It was a wonderful stay.”

“Wonderful, quiet, peaceful family-owned CG. We only stayed one night, but we really enjoyed it, and we would love to return. The family who owns the CG is extremely nice. The grounds are extensive and beautiful, well-kept up and everything is very clean. A small pond, beautiful tent sites, wooded and shaded. OH – the price! Our site was $35 !! Where have you ever seen a price like that for a beautiful CG?! The drawback: no internet, no swimming, very poor phone reception. If there were internet and good phone reception, I’d give this CG 5 stars. For now, it’s 4 stars, but unplug and you’ll enjoy it!”

“Loved it!!! We had a great time as a family including the dogs!!! Was alot of fun for me and my kids my husband did his diving and I got to watch and learn and had some dive time myself. When I wasn't diving me and the kid's with the dogs got to swim in a little area. It was very nice just remember water shoes and bug spray. We camped for 2 nights and everyone was very nice. We are already talking about going back. Super fun place.”

Lots of outdoor activities nearby too. We enjoyed kayaking at the lake. Exploring downtown Bastrop was also fun. Check out the museum and good food in town.”

“Didn’t actually stay here, but did use there boat rentals. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I was new to using a fishing boat and had several hiccups. The boat cut off on us. We called and George got in a boat to rescue us. Little did we know the gas line has come a loose. He hooked it back up and we were back at again. Definitely would recommend renting a boat from this location!”

“We’ve been to this KOA twice now, and we thoroughly enjoy it. The tent sites are nice, and the outdoor kitchen, pool, and upgraded restrooms are great. This place has amazing views eastward over Las Cruces, and if you can catch the sunrise over the Organ Mountains, it won’t disappoint. Also, many KOA campgrounds are too close to the interstate and are extremely loud as a result. This one is just far enough away to be quiet, but close enough to be convenient.”

Offers onsite laundry, a beautiful pool, shuffle board games, a gathering hall and ample room for walks anytime of day. The amenities are nice with a laundromat you can control from an app on your phone for convenience. They also have individual shower rooms for privacy. “Wish I would have got the guys name but the gentleman working the Night Shift on the 11th of July was amazing! Super nice and even let us get into the pool for an hour or so even though it was closed. Rooms are very clean and nice homey feeling. It was pretty quiet and even when there were distracting patrons with loud music the staff was quick to get them to be quiet. I would definitely recommend this place to stay.”

“My job requires me to travel to different areas for periods of time. I did an extended stay in suite 4 for two months. The internet was awesome and had no problems streaming Hulu and sending work emails. Running my own test it was 223 mbps, making it easy for me to work. They also provided all cooking utensils, stove/oven, full size fridge, and washer/dryer. I especially enjoyed the access to the Country Club to work out and swim in my down time. The location was perfect with gruene as my backyard and a nice balcony with a view to drink my coffee in the morning. I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area.”
