Sites are very large for a campground with lots of trees, but nicely graded picnic areas on each site with charcoal grill, fire ring and over the fire grill tops. Tons of wildlife including a lot of whitetail deer, ducks, raccoons, even some skunks (that didn't spray me!) Gorgeous lake with incredible sunsets. Prices are great. Staff closes gate at night but it's not locked! Don't let it deter you from camping here. Staff cleaned bathroom every morning around 615 am.”

“The front desk staff were very nice and friendly. We got a room with a separate bunk bed area and our 6YO loved it. And all the lights worked (I only mention this because literally every hotel room I've stayed in over the last 5+ years at least one light was burned out). The waterpark lifeguards were all great too and thanked us for coming. The bar and small restaurant looked cute, but we didn't try either. One con was that the little concessions area in the waterpark said it was open 4-8pm on Saturday, but it closed down at the water break (about 6:30pm) and never re-opened. Was a nice stand, selling pizza and smaller things and adult drinks, just wish it was open when it said it would be. The Arbor Lakes area where the hotel is has a lot of places within walking distance, just had a ton of street construction while we were there (seemed every street was being resurfaced at the same time).”

“We spent a weekend there in the butterfly cottage. The venue is great, and very relaxing. Lots of trails, and wildlife. Some of the animals like to gather right in front of the cottage in the mornings and late afternoons so you get a great view of them. With some patience and respect for them, we were able to hand feed two of the longhorns. Host is very friendly, makes you feel comfortable and welcomed. Also, the turkeys will be your best friends if you stop and talk to them.”

“I grew up in this neighborhood. It was a great place to live. Mrs. M. Martin has been there 45+ years and babysat me as a child. The residents have changed but the historic trailer park is over seen buy Mrs Martin and many of her relatives reside or visit and keep a good eye on everything. M.R.T.P. Everything is gossip so create a good persona. Dogs. Motorcycles, ATV'S WERE always prohibited. Making it a boring place ( for me) growing up. Lots of chicano's and Hispanics. As it used to be predominantly white community.”

Schools are wonderful... You can see airplanes land and take off while driving home or leaving . I lived here for 5 years never had a break in so it's pretty much safe to live here..”
