“We wanted a place near the beach, this is it! The fresh towels were so appreciated, room was made up while we worked. Yes, it is an older place but it has fresh paint, newer carpet and linens. The owner was working mid day while guys were repainting a room, and gardeners mowing and clipping. Has shutters on windows and a wall AC. Great value for close to the ocean👍”

“Well maintained campground with lots of nice space around the site. Went in April during "pollen festival" so that added an extra dimension to the overnight stay for sure (see photo of pollen drifting through flashlight beam). RV people are loud, so don't get a tent spot too close to Loop B. Also, planes fly low overhead at night, so if you wake up thinking they're about to land on your tent, don't worry. The boat ramp and swim areas are not accessible before 8 am, so you can't go out to the peninsula for sunrise.”

“Clean, well maintained campsites with water and fire pits. Restrooms are surprisingly clean with hot water showers. Wildlife here include squirrels, raccoons, & skunks. None of them were a problem. They will get into your food at night if it is not properly stored. Great for the family or solo. We had an all around good time here!”

The breakfast options are convenient and depending on your Hilton Honors level could be included with your stay. The staff is friendly and do their best to accommodate guests. It would be nice if coffee was available throughout the day at no cost to guests. However, they do have free coffee in your room and a coffee machine in their small convenience shop for a fee. I’ve stayed at this location dozens of times. I definitely would recommend staying here for a short or long term stay.”
