“As a student, this is a great resource for inspiration. I enjoyed contemplating work in this setting. I used it to exchange ideas with friends and socialize during Grad Night. Sometimes this is used for storage or trans-disciplinary studio projects but this is a museum quality space that exhibits artists and designers. You're generally allowed to photograph inside.”

“Fun place for kids. They don't have any discounts from other kids museums or zoos. There is a senior discount and an AAA discount. The under 40 inch kid area is a good place for smaller kids to play without having to deal with the older kids. The stream play area a big treat for them. Just make sure you bring an extra set of cloths or they will be wet all day. The provide aprons only resist so much water. Pack a lunch or buy some food from the Sprouts cafe and stay the whole day. The views of the Golden Gate Bridge is breath taking. A treat for the young and old.”

“Great place to take friends and family to learn the early times of a ranch in Yorba Linda. Patty, one of the volunteers was so great telling info on the ranch and answering our questions. A must see!”

“Pretty cool piece of history. You can tour the silo area and see a missile raised and lowered. On the day I went there, they had actual veterans who worked the missiles giving the tours.”

“The Hornet is a CV, WWII era non-nuclear aircraft carrier. I was in the Navy, but never saw a ship from this time period. My only issue is the incredibly poor condition of the ship and the base. The volunteer/historic group does the best it can, but this ship is one of the last of it's kind and as much of a war hero as the men that served on it. I would absolutely love to see this ship brought back to it's original condition (at least removing rust, painting, and non-skid type work) like many of the other naval ship museums I've seen. The guides are incredibly knowledgeable and nice. We took the tour up to the bridge, but skipped the one to the engine room. Each tour takes about 45 minutes, plus there are a couple areas you can walk around on your own so it's a lot of area to cover! The aircraft on the ship were not necessarily ones that would have flown off this carrier because they were from different decades, but it was very cool to see all of them too. The most interesting thing for us was learning what tools the pilots used to have to help them land, and how incredible it was that not everyone crashed. This was also the carrier that picked up Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins after the Apollo 11 mission!”

“Nice history lesson for the kids. They can play with old toys and dollhouse. Loved all the authentic historic pieces they've collected in the kitchen. You can take a guided tour or self guided. Loved the carriage barn and the ice house. The blacksmith shop is not always part of the tour, but it was this day. Really enjoyed it. The grounds and gardens were a little messy, probably due to so much rain. Will take the children there again.”

“ Each time my travels bring me near Weston, I visit the historical sites the area has to offer. The Weston Museum is a delightful surprise! On past visits, I have seen everything from the piano that was disassembled and shipped overseas to the United States so very many years ago to a framed newspaper article about the slaying of President Lincoln (the actual article is from a newspaper that was printed the day after so it is very old indeed). This museum may be little in stature but I assure you it is mighty and rich in content. I highly recommend visiting this remarkable historical museum.”

“Great service/products”
Address: 1611 N Market St, Frederick, MD 21701, USA
“This is a great little gem hidden in the middle of Frederick. It's a great museum about life in revolutionary and pre-civil war Frederick. Its great for kids and has a ton of toys and other items for them to play with. We went late in the season and got a personal tour since we were the only people there. They also have various events through the summer, which sounded fun, although we didn't get to experience them.”
