“Formerly the site of Surfridge, CA, a beach residential neighborhood for Hollywood elite built in 1921. In the 60's , LAX acquired the land and razed the homes, but the streets remain. It is fenced off to the public but is now used as a Preserve for the Blue Butterfly, once near extinction and not found anywhere else on earth. Best time to walk the perimeter and spot them is late summer. Free parking along Waterview Street, along the beach.”

“I recently had an excellent experience with the Cumberland County Historical Society. I had asked for a simple genealogical record search for an ancestor who died in Cumberland County in 1927. The researchers went above and beyond in helping to find information for me. I would highly recommend the Cumberland County Historical Society to anyone seeking genealogical assistance.”

“Probably one of the best and least visited in all of Los Angeles County, originally built in 1891 for the D.D. Johnston family. It's currently being, "restored" but looks brand-new, the city has definitely been putting resources into the house over the past five years and it shows.”

A few changes have been made for the better but it's still a great place to bring your kids and learn about the environment and the species that inhabit it!”

“I visited the colonial Pennsylvania Plantation on Pirate Day. It's an excellent place to bring kids to see what a farm looks like. They have people doing reenactments of different chores and tasks that might have been done in colonial days. It's very inexpensive $10 for adults $6 for children I posted a picture of the hours so you can see what the hours are. Very convenient from Philadelphia West Chester Downingtown Delaware.”

“This place is captivating. I've always loved bonsai and I've read several books about it. The expereienc of being in front of some of the world's best bonsai in such a tranquil setting can't be replaced and simply viewing pictures in books can't provide the same appreciation for the attention to detail and care that has gone into the bonsai trees. Everyone in our group had a great experience. The caretakers and staff do a fantastic job. You won't regret spending some time here.”

“This was a wonderful find in Kansas City, which is located inside the Signature Air terminal. We were looking for something to do on a nice afternoon and this was a great place to spend a few hours. There are some really cool artifacts and TWA memorabilia here. We were lucky when we took this tour on a Saturday afternoon, because our guide was a retired TWA mechanic and he was very knowledgeable about the history of the company and items on display”
