“It’s a hidden gem in mn. It’s small and a little bit hard to find, but it’s a must stop for plane enthusiasts. The staff was very knowledgeable and nice. He shared a lot of his work experience as a airplane mechanic. There is a real retired control panel you can play. The gift shop has many souvenirs at reasonable price.”

“What a wonderful place for Bethel! I know there are a lot of dedicated folks behind the scenes who work hard to make this a wonderful destination to experience history. The building itself is a part of our town's history. I couldn't think of a better place to house the various artifacts that represent the many aspects of Bethel. I highly recommend this place to anybody who has any inkling of a love for history, or anybody looking to reminisce by perusing the collection of Bethel-Tate yearbooks. Thank you, Bethel Historical Society!”

“I inherited two oil on wood paintings from my grandmother that were in terrible shape. Honestly so bad, I was embarrassed to bring them in. Hayk spent time carefully explaining the process and the time line. I have the first one back and it looks like a museum piece. I am over the moon! Five enthusiastic stars.”

“We rented a cabin near here for the weekend with family. I've always wanted to visit this house so we stopped by on our last day. Tickets were sold out for the indoor tours (they weren't doing many because of Covid), so if you want to do that, book at least a month in advance. That being said, the grounds and outside of the property are incredible. It's such a beautiful house and definitely worth visiting just the outdoor portion too. Plus you can see the inside through the windows. Tickets for that were only $20/person when we went. There are tons of trails you can explore around the grounds too. I'd allow at least 1-2 hours here. It's definitely worth a day trip to visit if you're anywhere near here!”

“The Van Allen house brings me back to simpler times in Oakland. A time where family came first and people were kind to their neighbor. I can proudly say the Van Allen House is probably the most important landmark in the county, if not the state.”

“In visiting the Icon museum in Covington Louisiana I was confronted with an artist , Matthew Montero, whose paintings revel in the sheer joy of paying homage to the people and items that helped change the world. His ability to manipulate the canvas to create portraits of such interest lets the observer really understand why this art display is so important for all to see. The museum although small has so much to interest anyone and is beautifully maintained.”

“Great place to start a visit to Albequerque. This is a museum-like collection of authentic artifacts, buildings, and period rooms that take the visitor through a timeline of early Spanish and American settlement in the region. The tour is about 45minutes, given twice a day. You can also visit on a festival day to see some of the craft demonstrations (weaving, blacksmithing, etc)”

“Wonderful little museum full of local history which is fascinating. Barbara and Beverly were wonderful hosts while we were there and were more than happy to answer questions or just chat. They are very obviously lovers of Tehachapi so they're great at their jobs. If you're intrigued by local small town history like me, I highly recommend a visit. Also leave time to visit the Errea House across the street as well as the train depot a couple blocks away. You can also get lost in the many Antique and Vintage stores close by as well as the various restaurants. We can't wait to go back!”

“Excellent and extremely well maintained county Historic Centre. Multiple buildings are open. There is about half mile walking trail that lead you to the run. Steep in places and with steps. The trail is unpaved. One needs to watch out for tree roots..The site has both Civil War Trails marker and is stop 5 on the Bristoe Campaign Trail. Highly recommended.”
