After a week and a half of searching multiple other places for someone to do the repairs, with a lack of response, the one response I got was by email and very expensive, and they had not even seen the windows yet. Like I fore-mentioned, I was extremely pleased when Freddy answered the phone at Darpa. He stated they do same day estimates and bids, along with same day repairs and installations. He asked what time he could look at the windows, and he was there on time! He gave me a very fair estimate within minutes and said he would have the job done in a couple of hours. To my surprise, he had it done much sooner than expected. “This is such a great antique store/mall. Literally, something for everyone! A great assortment of old books, vintage clothes (military), costume jewelry, toys, miniatures, signage, horse tack, boating and antique sporting goods. And I can't believe how reasonably priced most of the items are!!! 😀 A great use of space, too! Space is effectively used, without being overwhelming! I found some old metal Tootsie Toys modestly priced, and some unique dollhouse finds for less than anticipated. Also, as an avid hunter of Lewis Carroll and L Frank Baum's books, I was surprised to find a clean, sturdy copy of Alice (the verso of "Five Little Peppers") in the 1950s series of hardcovers that combined two children's novels into one printing, by placing them reverse of each other, and for only $5!! I also found an older storybook compendium with snippets of both Oz and Wonderland texts and the original illustrations by Tenniel and Denslow for $18. The owner is so kind and knowledgeable, she began to feel like an old friend by the end of my shopping.”

“One of my absolutely favorite places to visit, and it should be on your bucket list if you're a TOPGUN fan! The High Pie shop is also known as the TOPGUN house. It's where Maverick had his dinner date with Charlie in the first TOPGUN. The shop sells hand pies and flavors may vary with the season. My faves are lemon, peach, and apple. They also have lots of movie photos on display and sell very cool pins, if you like to collect such items. The location is beautiful, as it sits across the pier and ocean in Oceanside.”

He and his business partner work with honesty, integrity, competence, and regular communication. The work was performed quite quick, and David took notes and pictures to inform me of any additional items requiring attention, including offering practical solutions, as well as tackling some tedious challenging work with optimism, such as installing and correctly adjusting a unique NOS neutral safety switch to exact factory specs.
