“I booked this hostel in a last minute panic after some plans fell through, and was more than a little nervous due to the negative reviews. Frankly, you're getting what you pay for. It is cheap and close to LAX, with a pharmacy, convenience store, gas station and fast food all within walking distance. It isn't incredible, but it isn't awful. Just about everyone I spoke to was just another friendly traveler looking to save a few bucks. If you're a lonely solo traveler (like I was) just sit by the pool and try to look friendly. You'll make some friends quickly. The front desk staff were a little unenthusiastic and one even forgot to give me my room key when checking me in, but it was easily fixed by popping back in a minute later. The area is a bit dodgy and as a very short, petite female I wouldn't have felt safe going out at night so I just made sure to get my shopping and outings done during the day. But I did enjoy staying here. Overall, just know that you're paying for a cheap place to sleep. Not everything is going to be perfect and if you're wanting something nicer, perhaps cough up a little extra for a nicer place to stay.”

“Just got home from staying in the fishing cabin for spring break, and we did not want to leave! We loved it here! We were pleasantly surprised when we saw the cabin next to the restaurant! The view from the porch is beautiful, and the cabin was cozy and comfortable! The RV park and motel next door are a bit unsightly when you pull in, but they do a great job of blocking them out so you feel like you're more secluded than you actually are! Everyone we dealt with was super nice and helpful! We're already planning our trip back!!”

“This is the second time I’ve come here as an adult, although I grew up canoeing out of both Morgan liveries. Both these recent times I brought a group. We camped, bicycled, and kayaked … and had a great time. The Morgans are wonderful, attentive hosts. The campsites are HUGE and NICE. This campground has convenient not-stinky portolets, and very clean hot water restrooms. I highly recommend Morgans’ for camping and kayaking!!”

“My Wife and I stayed for 2 nights and absolutely loved the Anchor's Inn. It will be our go to guest house when staying in Grafton. We stayed in the Starboard suite and it is spacious and well appointed. The suite was spotless when we arrived. It featured 2 Queen sized beds, a sofa, love seat and large flat screen TV. It had a full kitchenette with stove, refrigerator and microwave. It had a full compliment of kitchenware including pot, pans, plates, utensils, etc. so you can cook full meals if desired. It is within walking distance of plenty of restaurants and shopping. In short it has just about everything you need for a comfortable stay. Highly recommended and we will definitely be staying again.”

“Really nice place for a long weekend getaway with friends! This was my 2nd stay here. Very comfortable accommodations for all 16 women on our annual knitting retreat... lots of good living area space to eat, chat, and craft together. Main floor has wheelchair and handicapped accesdible rooms. Kitchen is adequate -- we bring our own meals and share prep and cleanup. Next year (we've already booked it!) we will bring a couple of good knives and a good fry pan. They are supplied but not exactly chef material :-) Gteat place for hikers to take walks and a wonderful wrap around porch to catch rays ad chat.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and had slide issues. The park worked with us until we could get a repair. The bathrooms were clean and close to the sites. Location is great for big rigs if you are planning on going into Yosemite. Like others have mentioned, the sites were not very level and not well groomed. Also, sure numbering was confusing for most of our neighbors when arriving. No host to help people find their site. It is very “rustic” compared to many parks.”

“My experience at Cottonwood was great! Jeremy and Renee were so sweet and very helpful if we had any questions. The park was very clean which is always a plus! I enjoyed the access to the wifi that Cottonwood provided. The overall atmosphere was very quiet and peaceful which made for a relaxing stay. Also, I liked the fact that the park was close to shopping, restaurants and the Oklahoma Interstate (I-44 and I-35). “Took my 13 year old son up here for the weekend. I’ve been wanting to check it out for some time, and the entire experience was even better than I expected. Lane runs a chill, mellow, festival - community vibe space. He was always just an email away, and spent plenty of time hanging around to make sure my kiddo and I were well taken care of. The longer river float was one of the most peaceful days spent on a river (okay - minus the appalachiarantulas lol) and the spot we camped, just on the other side of the river, was quiet and calm. Lane took plenty of time to make sure we had everything we needed, including safe places to camp and chill, dinner recommendations, and some great conversation. If you’re looking for a grassroots place to truly relax away from the hustle of state park camping, you’ve got to check this place out. We will definitely head back up to hopefully enjoy some midsummer tunes, maybe some yoga with a new yoga friend (Alicia everywhere we go, there we are!) and overall tap into the mellow nature that surrounds the land and the spirit of Jessup Mill. Thanks for such a great time you guys!”

“Private little property so close to water! I stayed here last year and loved how it felt so much like home. Favorite part was the kitchen had everything we needed to cook with and I mean everything. Before my girlfriend and I checked in we stayed the first four nights at the resort right next to a rod and reel pier which was $500 a night and they had nothing not even a working stove And the owner was constantly on the premises and cameras everywhere. Once we found this little gem we were just so happy we stayed five nights and yes the owners are very pleasant and are never in your way. The price is right and you’re literally steps from the beach 🏖 I am looking forward to coming back again this May hopefully💕 Demi Mackey”
