“Great place to rent a tube or bring your own. $20 pp, the tube takes you around the horseshoe. They have two sites, 1 and 2. Sign up, pay and they give you a parking pass. After you place it in your car they will give you wristbands and a tube (if you need one). You get on the river right there and get off the river on the second bridge. Walk up the hill and get on a bus back. You can do it all day for the same entry, just get another tube and start again. Place gets busy on Saturday/sun just be patient. Nice folks run this, bus drivers are nice. It gets a bit crazy mid river… FYI for those with sensitive young children, alcohol is allowed and some wild and crazy parties may abound, but not bad. People enjoying life!!!!”

“A great and cozy place close to the lake. My wife and I had a wonderful time here. Three small cabins in the campground tucked in at the end of the road. The cabins are small and cozy, and lend themselves to have a great personal time with your loved one. It includes a microwave, small fridge, TV with local channels, A/C and heater. A small porch on the front of the cabin, with a picnic table, BBQ grill and fire pit nearby. Shower with hot water and the rest of the fun is up to you! The owners are great and even brought some firewood for the fire pit. Skiatook is very close and therefore if you need to go eat in town or go to a local store it is very easy to do. There is a couple of Marinas nearby and two boat ramps into to the lake within a 10 minute drive. I would recommend this place to anyone that wants to get away and have an intimate and personal experience with their loved ones!”

We've been here before and spent 4 days this weekend. Saw nothing of snarling dogs, collapsing trailers....not sure what he was on about. Butch was busy all day every day(mowing, taking out dead trees) and even took the time to help us back in. Absolutely gorgeous weekend.”

“We attended a wedding at this amazing venue in August. Everything about Ashley Inn is so charming and just perfect for a summer wedding. I helped host a wedding party luncheon the day of the wedding. Heidi and the staff were so wonderful to work with. Heidi helped plan the menu and gave some great ideas on what to serve. Everything was handled through email and phone calls. No stress on my part at all. AND the luncheon was fabulous!”

“We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back. We stayed in the forest side cabin. The only downfall to that. When you are on the beach, there are no restroom so it’s a long walk back across a busy street. No trash cans, and very limited chairs close to the water line but a lot of chairs and umbrellas up in the beach further up. On the forest side, it was peaceful and quiet BUT we noticed the workers live in some of the cabins too, so they are not as nice and neat on the outside and a few junk piles around. That side of the property could be a little nicer. Our cabin area was great, lots of Cobb webs in the room, ceiling, corner and some spiders which I just cleaned with a broom. Wonderful customer service was wonderful, easy to communicate and very accommodating. The young kids working the water equipment work extremely hard and are super helpful.”

“On the beach, great pool and hot tub, friendly staff, ample parking, and clean room. I'm sure all of the rooms are a bit different, but ours was updated. Although the showers weren't the best. The beds were comfortable enough for a couple of nights and, for the price, it was very much worth staying here again! Our family of 6 adults enjoyed everything. I wish they would have had a few more amenities within the condo itself... Dish soap, a couple of extra kitchen towels or another paper towel roll would have been nice. The window coverings are also very thin and the parking lot lights on the side where our room was always kept the room bright. We slept anyway. If you are on the second floor, you will need to climb stairs (no elevator).”

“We have a little place in Ruskin at the Tampa South Rv Resort and we thoroughly enjoy ourselves when we are able to get away for a short stay! They have a wonderful setting that is kept very clean and organized and their pool is always sparkling clean, with the perfect temperature! We love that we can keep our boat there and dock it right where we can see it from our little river cottage. Ruskin is a sleeper town and in the middle of so many wonderful large surrounding towns but it’s always nice to go back home to the quaint quiet peaceful setting of this little place, after you’re done having fun in the big city.”

“The owner operator of this business is a very intelligent man. He's very resourceful and actually cares about the environment that he works in. I highly recommend this for anyone who wants to just get out and do kayaking for the first time, or get in a canoe for their 50th time. It's a very pleasant three mile canoe ride down the river. And we even got a ride back. The time we called him he was there within 5 minutes that's impressive in my book.”

“The Edgewater is such a gem! The hotel has a beautiful family history, and holds a ton of charm. You can't beat the central oceanfront location, and the hotel itself is lovely, including beautiful photos from an earlier Catalina Island - you feel like you are a part of the island's history. There is a fun outdoor terrace and an indoor TV area. 100% would recommend and will definitely stay here again! Britney and Bo are amazing hosts!”
