“What a serene and peaceful adventure. We knew that this place of serenity would engulf our beings. Mr. Bordley and I felt the warmth, the open space to move about with eagerness to see more of this heavenly space. The Rooster of the land commanded an audience along with his pack, the doggie who I can’t remember her name gave us a welcome lick and jumped up to embrace us. If you are looking for peace and quietness travel to Solace Retreat Farm to be greeted by Joyce Akintilo who spreads love and joy through your every bone. The aura of the home is quaint and open to pull you in. If you like country living come along.”

“This was a delightful neighborhood restaurant. The serving staff was great. Not only was our waiter warm and helpful, others came by to check on how.we we're doing. We started off with a pitcher of strawberry lemon sangria. It was dangerously delicious. They also set out little garlic rolls, which we're tasty. One person in our group adored them and ate them while waiting for our salads, which were delayed. But we were there early so the wait was nice in the nice atmosphere not the heated patio seating near a fire pit that was burning aromatic wood. My main dish and sales were tasty and nicely presented. Thid go nack. e food wasn't amazing but the atmosphere was.”

“We enjoyed our stay very much! The house is adorable and quite comfortable. The neighborhood is within walking distance to the historic town of Leipers Fork. If you choose to ride the provided bicycles that was fun also. The fire pit and grill area is so nice on a cool fall evening. I would definitely stay here again”

“Hidden little peace and quiet. Nice community of like minded people, no one driving or racing through unless they belong there. its got a great view of the sunrise, sunsets and stars. The self appointed manager seems to be a little busy minding others business oh, is that supposed to be Minding her own business? But, hey, thats what park managers seem to do best, they get to know their neighbors and treat them like a family or at least a distant relative :) otherwise they all say she's harmless, but I believe the good and bad weigh even enough to create a well balance. She is a real person and not run by a large entity from another state, she's the real deal and that has pros and cons. Overall, if I were to pick a park to live, this one would be on my list personally, due to the views, the solitude, the pool, the great open spaces not next to any residential development. its nature all around, priced well and its clean.”

Both times it was for early flights out of Portland Oregon. Rooms both times were clean. Please remember to have kindness and patience as Hotels experience staff shortages and lately a large increase of people looking for hotels for canceled flights.”

“It was perfect for us we enjoyed our stay. It has just what you need all the amenities and cute little apartment not far from the beach. Full kitchen large fridge everything you could simply want on a vacation. I couldn't complain & the owner was great our flight was delayed but she didn't give up on us and we appreciate her for keeping our room for three days even though we didn't get here until three days later, so time is dwindling down and it's about time for us to go back home. I am so not ready and the place is just adorable of course it's not all fancy but it's cozy it's been my home for the last 5 days and I've enjoyed! They give you exactly what you need to you shouldn't have to ask for anything more and I would like to thank them for a great stay and it was clean and that's important! It's not modern but definitely clean I am a housekeeper by day back at home so cleanliness this is something that I aim for. Dory thank you very much we appreciate you and your staff for such warm welcome.”

“I enjoyed my camping experience at cedar dam more than any camping I have done in the past through out many states. We stayed in the tin roof camping and I never felt more at home and cozy camping as I did here. Kim and Bruce are amazing hosts. I enjoyed cooking my meals at the fish house and eating them while casting a pole. I caught over 80 fish in 7days. Many were small but it was the fun of the catch for me. I did cook up 6 good size fish in the fish house on the foreman grill after cleaning them on the provided cleaning station, very convenient. Lastly and my favorite part was the bunny patch complete with a HUGE Tommy tomatoe wild grown patch. The tomatoes were so sweet and delicious. The green ones chopped me up a nice green tomatoe dip I enjoyed the day after coming home. And I was reminiscent of my stay at cedar dam as I ate the fresh tomato dip. Wish I was there now.”
