“Don’t pass up Mister Ed’s full of charming knickknacks from the past and present! Fun Old Time Candy from your childhood, roasted peanuts in a delicious flavor you’ll crave, fudge, Pez dispensers that are hard to find, Jelly Belly, rock candy, you name it, they probably have it. Go for a stroll through the Enchanted Garden (pics) and uncover something whimsical around every turn. The employees are very friendly and knowledgeable about the products and the surrounding area.”

“Great learning environment for kids. Some of the information on certain displays (astronomy, energy generation and extraction) need updating with our current understanding of these fields. Nonetheless great for those just getting into or with an interest of natural sciences. My recommendation is ages 4+ if as a parent you want your child interested in the experience. Still great for families of all ages. My personal favorite was the gemstones and minerals exhibit. The staff was kind and helpful.”

“We always enjoy visiting the Houses of Hospitality in Balboa Park. It's always great to see the local people out celebrating their heritage. House of England was having a spring celebration on the Sunday we visited, complete with a Beatles cover band, people dressed in period costumes, and tasty sausage rolls from the Shakespeare restaurant. Very lively. I believe you can check the park website for a schedule of events for Houses of Hospitality.”

“Great way to spend some time if you are strolling through Balboa park. The vehicles on display Very well organized. They also have different displays that you can interact with but most cars are off limits to touch. (of course) if you have any interest in cars or even turn your head at a nice car you while driving give this museum a try. There is some serious eye candy to droll over.”

“Great use of limited space. Awesome mock-ups and models throughout the museum. Takes you on a great journey of the history of flight and aviation... mostly military with some civil aviation history. We were also lucky enough to visit during a STEM engagement week and the kids really enjoyed it. Staff was friendly, educated, and very helpful.”

“I've been to a few events at the building that will become the Comic Con museum and I had a blast each time. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. They are just now starting to design what will be the future building and from some of the things the crew has done before, it's going to be spectacular! Lots of hands on and fun things to see and do. They are really interested in what the fans would like to see. Follow them on social media like Twitter and Instagram. You can even become a member and get different perks now.”

“The dedication and hard work of the veterans working at the museum in Balboa Park shows itself everywhere. Veteran volunteers give their hearts and souls to remind us the reason why our country is so great and to help us never forget the price we continue to pay for our freedom. A definite must visit with the kids.”
