“My 7 year old Great Dane, Halo, has mobility challenges due to a chronic knee injury and to aging. A friend recommended Dr. McLeod, and I decided to give her a try. First of all, let me say how impressed I was by Dr. McLeod's pet-side manner. Halo loved her from the get-go! I could tell that Dr. McLeod has a genuine love for animals because she connected with Halo in a personal way. This is different from any vet professional I have ever taken my pets to. Other professionals are nice, of course. But they are basically all about administering treatment and moving on to the next patient. In contrast, Dr. McLeod and Halo are true friends. Halo could immediately sense her kindheartedness, and she looks forward to her visits with Dr. McLeod. After Halo's first visit, I received a detailed report outlining Halo's wellness status, the specific adjustments made, and her continued plan of care. Seriously, Dr. McLeod listened so attentively to the details I shared about Halo that I feel she knows more about her than the regular vet I have taken her to for years. Halo has continued her treatment with Dr. McLeod for many months and she feels better than ever! This means so much to me because it is very discouraging to see your beloved pet(s) start deteriorating and struggling as they age. But Halo's adjustments and treatment from Dr. McLeod have allowed the "puppy" to come out in her. She clearly moves around so much better than before which has impacted her senior quality of life more than I could have imagined. “I recently moved to the area and was researching places to have my kitten spayed. I saw that Purrfurred Pets was not only close to my home but very well priced for the spay, shots, and visits in general. They call before the apt to make sure all communication is accurate and they have things prepared. They are always pleasant and very gentle with the animals. When my first cat was spayed they gave very clear information packet on how to care from home. They were also available if I had questions about the healing process. Since then I have a second cat that has been vaccinated through Purrfurred and they were so kind and informative during our visit. I highly recommend bringing your fur babies here!”

“I cannot thank Dr. Burke at the Rockaway, NJ Banfield pet hospital enough for everything she did for us. We lost our beloved Herve this week after a battle with lymphoma. Unfortunately it wasn’t until nearly the end of Herve’s battle that I found Dr. Burke. A dear friend of mine recommended Dr. Burke after hearing that I was desperately trying to reach Herve’s vet at another Banfield location. Following this recommendation, I immediately called the Rockaway, NJ location. I was absolutely astonished that my call was answered right away. I told the staff member there that Herve was in increasing distress from his lymphoma symptoms and they immediately connected with Dr. Burke, even though Herve had not been to the Rockaway location before. Dr. Burke reviewed Herve’s Banfield file and within ONE HOUR I was able to pick up a medication which provided prompt relief and comfort to him. I am forever grateful to Dr. Burke and her outstanding, compassionate staff. I highly recommended this Banfield hospital even if it is a longer drive for you, it is very much worth the trip. From my heart, they truly are the very best. Thank you all for your loving care of Herve. ❤️”

“I brought my 1-yo new dog of about two weeks, Doris, for some potential heart worm disease post-treatment concerns. We came early in the morning (5:30am) after calling from home to check on availability. We were the first ones there and we were seen as promptly as we were promised (within a half hour of our initial phone call.) We left right around an hour and a half after they looked her over and took our fecal sample for tests. She was diagnosed with hook worm and prescribed medication which they kindly sent over to be filled by the nearby Animal Humane Society (which fills RX for free within 14 days of adoption of their rescues.) Overall service was quick and courteous. The only minor qualm I had was lack of detailed information on hookworm from the vet and that she didn’t try to hide that she was in a hurry; our conversation was a bit quick. I respect that this is probably just the way a vet must become when dealing with emergency services and potentially emotional pet owners. The vet tech who worked with us also made sure to answer any questions I had thoroughly, before discharge. Price-wise, they’re on the higher end compared to a couple of other places I checked but I paid no more than expected as they gave me options throughout the visit. I would recommend them if your pet is in need. Just make sure you truly have the ability to pay and remember that a pet ER is similar to one for humans; sometimes, you have to wait long for more sever cases to go first and it is pricier than a normal vet visit.”

We had to put our 19 year old cat down and we have NEVER experienced a more compassionate veterinary group to have done this.
